Duke Lacrosse DNA: Mystery Man Revealed (Accuser's Boyfriend!!!)
ABC News ^ | 13 May 06 | CHRIS CUOMO, GERRY WAGSCHAL, CHRIS FRANCESCANI and LARA SETRAKIAN

May 13, 2006 — The second round of DNA test results in the Duke University rape investigation show "no conclusive match'' to any lacrosse players, defense attorneys said, but a vaginal swab of the alleged rape victim produced DNA from a "single male source'' — a man not on the lacrosse team who did not attend a March 13 party that was the site of the alleged rape.

Joe Cheshire, a defense attorney for Duke University lacrosse players at the center of a rape investigation, said the latest tests show no conclusive match to any of the lacrosse players' DNA. (ABC News

Defense attorney Joe Chesire declined to identify the mystery man or his connection to the alleged victim, but ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned that the unnamed source of the DNA is the alleged victim's "boyfriend," according to her mother.

ABC News is withholding the name of the man because he is apparently not a target of the investigation. Records indicate that Durham, N.C., police gave the "boyfriend'' a cheek swab to collect DNA on May 3, ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned exclusively.

It is unclear if or how the first DNA tests missed what appears to be the only foreign genetic material found on the alleged victim's body, defense attorneys said. Two Duke lacrosse players were indicted more than two weeks before the cheek swab was taken from the "boyfriend."

It is also unclear whether the alleged victim had sex with the "boyfriend" the night she claims to have been raped by three Duke lacrosse players. DNA experts tell ABC News that genetic traces of semen can remain in the body up to six days after intercouse.

People have stepped beyond all rational, logical thought to avoid the truth of this case. The question is, why?

The reason is because Mangum is a member of a protected class: black, (ostensibly) poor, and taking on (rich) whitey. No stretch, no absurdity, no leap of logic and reason is too much for the fawning media, victocrats and race whores to make in order to have this turn out that she is being truthful. It is a shock to their paradigm that such a perpetual, and therefore virtuous, victim would lie, and such a conclusion would undermine their indignation and social rage about the fact that these privileged white boys should get to go to such a nice school while she has to grovel as a stripper just to feed her kids (and pay for her $300 phone, traffic fines, and so forth).

They know a saint when they see one, by Gawd!

Mangum is a prostitute. That's what escorts are. They're call-girls. The pimp gets paid and he supposedly knows nothing about any arrangements for sex, and the girl doesn't get paid directly by the john. The john pays the pimp for a "date." The girl contacts the john and they discuss what they will do on their "date", which usually involves a hotel room. They don't discuss money. That superficial arrangement is how they get around the elements of the crimes of prostitution and pandering. The girl usually gets about half to 2/3 of the "fee", plus any tips she gets from the john for special favors, which are usually sexual acts that most women would not normally find enjoyable.

He couldn't be her grandfather. He died a hundred and thiry years ago. And even if he was in her bloodline from way back when, so what?

As far as I've read the only "source" we have on the boyfriend angle is the woman's mother. This guy could be a "john", her "pimp", or just a neighbor who regularly stops by.

Friend of mine who used to defend petty criminals, do immigration cases, and collect child support said many of his female clients regularly had sex with their ex-husbands and landlords as a matter of commerce and child support..

We are dealing with the same class of people here, so there's absolutely no reason (so far) to limit our imaginations.

How would the attorney know this? That it was "immediately" before being examined?

Remember we went down this path before. I thought Kim would have no problems taking a drugged Crystal somewhere to work off a "debt" to Kim. (As in the "client" had been Kim's).

Didn't Crystal assert she'd not had "sex" prior to the alleged rape? So, how would the Attorney know it was "immediate"? And if so, the hounds should have been baying over the "none" results of that first DNA test?

This is the point at which I got mentally cooked wondering WHO took Crystal to the ER! Police or "BF"? Is the BF a former or current PD?

I had thought PD took Crystal to ER. But something came up at this point, and we were all looking into why the police would release Crystal to her BF. 'member this?

Good Morning! :)

Yes, I did. And I'm still wondering, now, if DNA can be preserved and used for other purposes, like planting evidence. At this point, everything is suspicious, IMHO.

That's what had me digging around "Durham" most all of yesterday evening. There's something very bad and corrupt going on in Durham which seems to have most people in Durham running like crazy around the truth about what is going on in Durham.

Again, that word "immediately" is what's throwing us into a tizzy... "immediate" implies near moments BEFORE being examined (or within a reasonable time-frame). Did Crystal arrive at ER (taken there by PD) and she met BF in a Hospital Linen Closet for a quickie?

Or is "immediate" meaning within a 12-24 hour time frame? I think "prior to" would have been used if this was the time-frame.

Yes, it is a Democrat directive...ugh.

I wonder who or what the local election was the year Crystal registered twice to vote. Hm.

Wow -- that's a good catch. I hadn't heard that. It sounds like it happened after the party, doesn't it?

I remember the photo and coverage of Crystal's cousin - possibly Tates5a. Yes, female.

In re your findings on Booker Tates, I don't think because Tates is in his 40s rules him OUT as a "BF" of Crystal's.

Lavonia Allison was being investigated by the NC Real Estate Commission. The complaints were stacked mile high about her abuses as a slumlord owner and her treatment of anyone who dared to even remotely cross her. So, enter Booker Tates who is charged with making off with lots of money.

Lavonia could have blamed Tates for the missing money, as a resolution for her tense situation with "authorities". Maybe so, maybe not.

I wonder if Tates and Kim knew each other -- both involved with embezzling.

And Lavonia the NC Durham delegate in 2000 and 2004 to the conventions.

And despite the laments by poor blacks in Durham of being intimidated and terrorized by Lavonia, the NAACP goes and gives Lavonia their 2006 Humanitarian Award.

It's all weird.

The question is the persistence of DNA, not sperm.

Afterward, attorney Bill Thomas of Durham -- who represents an un-indicted lacrosse player -- said semen found in the dancer's body was "of recent origin" and had been deposited there "immediately prior to her being examined" in connection with the alleged rape.

I would think if a woman had truly been raped and beaten by three men, the last thing she would want is to have consentual sex with someone else. The suspicion of the injuries and bruising must now be focused on the person she had sex with "immdeiately prior to her being examined", regardless of whether he is a boyfriend, pimp, cop, john, politician or judge.

Suppose she had sex immediately prior to the exam.

Who ever was bopping her took it out before ejactulation and she had alot of sticky on her legs and in her pubic hair.

That could explain Nifong's statement; he might be so stupid as to think no semen would be inside. It might also explain why he hung his hat on the DNA. There was so much ejaculate on the outside of her body-he just knew those rich, white boys raped her.

I have to think about this supposition some more. (My brain is flashing on black lights -- any sticky would sure show up under a black light.) So, possibly the "sex" was part of the planned "operation" on the Duke Boys? Is that what you are thinking?

It might be time to pull up Howlin's timeline post and re-look at the timeline.
