I would like to point out that Canada has been a significant contributor to efforts in Afghanistan. They continued to help even after US pilots mistakenly attacked Canadian troops.
The reason why it is called a coalition of the willing, is we work with allies, who support our goals. We are not an empire, to coerce or bribe, because we have no friends.
Having said that, I agree that aid to third world dictatorships is not in our interest. That does not include Canada, a major trading partner, ally, and friend; bound by ties of history, trade, and in many cases blood.
So then what happens to Iraq if we remove all our forces within 30 days? (Or is that question too complex.)
Actually, I wouldn't want to hear that speech. The war in Iraq is the war in the Middle-East is the war against Islamofascism is the war against terror is the war to keep the war from coming home to America. Any President, RAT or Republican, that cuts and runs like it was the only intelligent option is a complete fool and, ultimately, a danger to America.
Must be an old article if Spain is still on the list.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
Nowhere close. We spend billions on foreign aid each year. We've spent hundreds of billions on the war.
We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska - which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come.
No. Oil from ANWR would help, but it won't replace all the oil we get from Mexico, Canada, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and everywhere else - especially for decades.
TexCon...Great speech. In order to get the message to the right people, I guess we'll have to elect you president.
