That's the one, maggief. They came right out of the box, IMMEDIATELY, with a diatribe in front of 610 Buchanan. I'd hazard to say they might not be too much unlike either NOI or NBP. I heard the diatribe. Major ick. Sure, sure insert Christian word, here, there -- but get on back to Social Justice and the Hatred of Whites and Privileged Males, blah blah.
I am still reading through the thread but here is my take on what we learn from the reports from the press conference:
1. The Duke Police view that DPD said this case would not lead to much is supported by the actions of the DPD. Why in the world was their not crime scene tape on the door to that bathroom? The only logical reason is the DPD did not believe the woman's statements and saw no reason to preserve the non-crime scene.
2. As others have said, the SANE report is basically meaningless now. So the case now becomes: a flawed ID, a houseful of people who did not witness a rape, DNA that is inconclusive in one case, an ambiguous SANE report.
3. The defense claim that she IDed someone not in Durham at the time. Nifong caught himself here. He rigged the line up, but thought he might get it past a judge by asking her to look at the following pictures and comment on who was at the party, hint, hint. So she picks out three guys, claims that one had a moustashe who did not and claims she saw some other player[s] who were not in Durham at the time of the party. That will be a big subject of cross if this every gets to that stage. Nifong could have avoided this had he found out who was at the party and put them in photo arrays with other non-lacrosse players. At least then had she picked the same three he would have a little something in his favor.

the defense would have the right to have the whole report about the DNA read into the record.....if the DA wants to hang on DNA, then he'll hang.....

Did one of the attorneys say that NONE of the team members EVER had a mustache?? And that some of the guys she ID'd were out of state at the time of the party?
I don't think it will go to trial....and I also think NiFong will be disbarred. Like I said early today, I wouldn't be surprised if the DA has a mild heart attack and disappears (more or less). (The Patches routine). I think we'll see a new DA.....real soon.
Yep. I do know little Jimmy Hammer is light in his loafers...and Kimberly G. of Fox News, now, was the prosecuter in that case. What a pair...

Teach you to pay too much attention to press conferences. The "newsies" down there already thought the DNA was going to ID a third attacker ~ that's because they, too, listened too closely to the press conference evidentiary hearings (by both the defense and the prosecution).
Be interesting to see what these tests actually demonstrate when they, themselves, are made public. What we have here, so far, is yet another press conference held by a defense lawyer.
I think "Prior sexual history" refers to years gone by. Not ten minutes ago.

You might think that but you clearly have not seen the full effect that the manhating chorus of Murphy, Grace etal has had on the court system. The ONLY way this probably gets in is if the prosecution claims injury.
