DURHAM, N.C. - Duke underestimated the rape allegations against members of the lacrosse team in part because Durham police initially said the accuser “kept changing her story and was not credible,” according to a university report issued Monday.
The day after the March 13 team party where a 27-year-old black woman claimed she was raped, Durham police told campus officers that “this will blow over,” the report said. It said that the woman initially told police she was raped by 20 white men, then said she was attacked by three.

The younger crowd in my family they are always repeating that in regard to old People because a Popular show (for the youngins) in SpongeBob and intermittently an Old person appears in the Cartoon and says --- I don't want to be a Burden.

There are questions into whether the Durham Police Department took the Duke lacrosse rape allegations seriously when they were made.

I've had a chance to read the original Duke Police report. The only way anyone gets convicted is if there is a wacko OJ style, reverse jury nullification. It is clear as a bell in contemporaneous reports that the accuser is a lunatic. Her cross examination will look like a slow motion train wreck. Duke should have stuck by its students even if only to keep quiet until it learned more facts. It's unclear how the accuser's race would have made a bit of difference to obvious credibility problems.
For the players sake, I hope the charges are dismissed before trial. OTOH, there is great value to letting this go to trial and have dingbat Nifong present his case and watch it become ridiculed. Nifong may end up being the Jim Garrison of this generation (extra credit for those remembering Garrison's claim to infamy).
This ought to help mend fences between Nifong and DPD.

As far as laying down with dogs, I said last night on here the players did, Duke University. This case was stuirred up by feminazis at Duke that hated these players for their sex and skin color. Parent need to not send their particularly male children to a place with a significant percentage of people who hate them.

Again, this was a DOUBLE MURDER trial. They will focus on Racial comments made by the team (and I'd expect Kim and Crystal to come up with a lot more of the Racial comments at trial.)

Is it really Nifong's job to determine if she is lying, or instead, is it his job to investigate the claims and test the evidence in a court of law....
seems to me that he he could investigate the claims, perhaps believe her story, yet know that the evidence would not hold up in court, and therefore not pursue the case .
seems to me he is pursing a case without proper investigation and wants to be the judge and jury as well....
you know what makes me laugh?....he's going around now saying how the DEFENSE is talking so much......LOL....like those reported 70 interviews of his don't count....
