Alleged Rape Victim Admits Making Up Story Woman Charged With Filing False Report

NEWBERG, Ore. -- A woman who claimed that she was raped after parking her car outside a Newberg apartment complex now admits to making up the story.

The woman said she parked along South Everest Road when a man pushed her back in the car and raped her. She said she was visiting someone at the Canyon Ridge Apartments.

"It's very alarming. Most often when officers are investigating a sexual assault, the victim knows her attacker," Newberg Police Department spokeswoman Julie Carrasco told KOIN News 6 at the time.

But the woman now says the attack never happened. She is charged with filing a false police report.

Actually, DUKELAX is probably the better keyword to use.

Don't know if Duke accuser's story is true, but if she was sodomized by foreign object as claimed there may be no DNA. There may not have been penile penetration.

If she arrived in good shape and quickly appeared drunk or disoriented, there certainly may have been a "date rape" drug involved.

I've heard of worse and just as disgusting things. This group included freshmen-seniors, maybe 17-23 years old. Who was the genius who hired strippers? That prejudices my opinion of this group of young men. Throw alcohol and a "jocks can do anything" mentality (which had already been a been a problem with the group) and any stupid or criminal thing may have happened. Or not.

"Victim" not all that credible either. You've been gang-raped in the past and you still want to strip in front of a bunch of drunk jocks with no bouncer/security present? Not the smartest tack in the box. (Though give her credit for not going in alone.)

Could she have been drugged then imagined or "flashed back" the attack? I imagine toxicological and crime scene evidence will be important.

And if the victim ended up so falling down "drugged" or drunk as the defense claimed, wasn't there one young man in the group who would have called a cab or seen that she got home safe?

IMO they were ALL (boys, young men, and the two women) guilty of being classless low-lifes.

Wow! My mouth just dropped open hoping it was CGM.

Who (or what) is CGM? The initials of the Duke rape accuser?

I watched Nancy Grace last night. While I had gained respect for her during her coverage of the missing woman in North Dakota, and during the Michael Jackson trial, I have to admit she is a smug dullard with a Georgia peach twang.

She must have been assaulted or attacked at some point in her life, because she throws logic to the winds when it comes to rape accusations.

>>if she was sodomized by foreign object as claimed

She only started claiming it when her original story started falling apart. No such foreign object appears prominently on the search warrant, neither on the list of items to search for, nor on the list of items taken from the house.

"In related news, Duke University President Dr. Brodhead will be arriving in Los Angeles today to advise the owners of the Lakers how to throw the team under the bus."

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2006/news/story?id=2430850

Kwame Brown being investigated for sexual assault

LOS ANGELES -- Police are investigating sexual assault allegations against Los Angeles center Kwame Brown, who started in the Lakers' playoff game Tuesday night against Phoenix shortly after releasing a statement proclaiming his innocence.

The alleged assault occurred early Saturday, hours after the Lakers beat the Suns in Game 3 of their NBA playoff series, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Jason Lee said Tuesday.

Police did not say when the report was filed or by whom. No charges have been filed, and Brown denied any wrongdoing in a statement issued through the team office Tuesday night.

(snip)
"We are aware of the release issued earlier today by the LAPD," the Lakers said in a statement. "However, due to the fact that this is an ongoing legal matter, we cannot comment at this time."

Lee said the Los Angeles County district attorney's office had been made aware of the investigation, but declined to provide further details.

Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson said before the game that he had spoken with Brown about the matter.

"I did say something to Kwame: 'You know we have three priorities -- basketball, basketball and family. That's it.'"

Jackson said Brown would play his usual minutes in the game, "if he can focus and play through this. I'm sure it's a distraction."

"We're not even going to discuss it," Jackson said. "It's a basketball team and we've got to focus on what we need to do."

<< She only started claiming it when her original story started falling apart. >>

I'm not even sure SHE is claiming it. It seems to me this idea of the broom came out of something her FATHER said in his typically confused and disjointed remarks in one of his interviews.

I believe the father was likely referring to the broomstick reference in her story, which is, according to the police probable cause affidavit, that one of the guys held up a broomstick [probably a lacrosse stick IMO] and said "use this!" while the gals were doing their act. The father either didn't get the story straight, or the reporter misinterpreted his comments to mean she is claiming she was molested with a broomstick.

The MEDIA have seized on this reference by the father to the broomstick to theorize that she was molested with a broomstick by the lacrosse players, enabling them to explain away the absence of DNA.

I have never seen Nifong mention a broomstick, even when he was doing his pantomime routine of acting out how she said the rape occurred. You are correct the broom molestation allegation appears nowhere in any DA or police document.

These women do a great disservice to women who actually are raped, casting a shadow of doubt on those victimized.

Don't know if Duke accuser's story is true, but if she was sodomized by foreign object as claimed there may be no DNA.

It has NOT been reported that the accuser told police she was molested with a broomstick. Her account of the attack is set forth in the police probable cause affidavit which does not claim she was molested with a broomstick. The DA also did not claim this when he described how the alleged attack occurred to reporters. This whole ridiculous media speculation as to the broomstick appears to have been based on some confused comments by her father in an interview.

If she arrived in good shape and quickly appeared drunk or disoriented, there certainly may have been a "date rape" drug involved.

Also keep in the mind the other stripper has said the accuser downed half a mixed drink before spilling the rest and then immediately grabbed and drank another entire mixed drink that was given to the other stripper.

a "jocks can do anything" mentality (which had already been a been a problem with the group)

A minority of the team had been tagged for things like underage drinking, noise complaints and urinating outside over the last couple of years. I think it's a stretch to say they had a "jocks can do anything" mentality beforehand.

"Victim" not all that credible either. You've been gang-raped in the past and you still want to strip in front of a bunch of drunk jocks with no bouncer/security present?

I gather it is not uncommon for people who work in the "sex industry" to have been sexually abused against their will in their younger years.

Could she have been drugged then imagined or "flashed back" the attack?

Except that the details of how she claimed she was attacked appear to be completely different. The prior allegation involved her boyfriend and two of his friends, and there were rope burns and cigarette burns involved.

And if the victim ended up so falling down "drugged" or drunk as the defense claimed, wasn't there one young man in the group who would have called a cab or seen that she got home safe?

The other stripper had her car right there. No need to call a cab.

Good point. Some of the women reporters I've been watching are bound and determined these guys are guilty without a doubt before the trial. At first I didnt know what to think but as this case goes on thru the media I have many doubts and questions. If theres DNA then whose is it? If it was done via broom why wasnt that said so asap? No matter what happens here these guys lives are totally changed.

Ref Nancy Grace, you said:

That's what I think every time I hear here. Some man hurt her real bad and made her decide all men are dirt.

We don't know that she arrived in good shape.

1) She has a history of alcohol or drug problems (3 license suspensions (WRAL))

2) The pictures show that 2 minutes after entering the house she was walking around with one shoe. The other dancer didn't have this problem

3) The Lacrosse players have said from the beginning that she arrived impaired.

The 2 women involved have problems one is a convicted felon that had a warrant out for arrest the night it happened.
The other was charged with approx 8 felonies.
She also has a history of going unresponsive. The manager of Diamond Girls Strip club described her as going unresponsive and spacey. This was in 2002. She was drinking that night also. Add the AV's hospitalization for mental illness treatment/evaluation in 2005 and it going to be difficult to say anyone gave her anything.

We may have to wait about 6 months, but it's possible - the way it's been going lately - that we'll see a headline like this regarding Crystal.

sorry

I haven't been able to find a motive, but in reading web-sites in general they say sometimes women will claim this in order to get attention from a recently broken-up boyfriend.
