Don't know if Duke accuser's story is true, but if she was sodomized by foreign object as claimed there may be no DNA. There may not have been penile penetration.

If she arrived in good shape and quickly appeared drunk or disoriented, there certainly may have been a "date rape" drug involved.

I've heard of worse and just as disgusting things. This group included freshmen-seniors, maybe 17-23 years old. Who was the genius who hired strippers? That prejudices my opinion of this group of young men. Throw alcohol and a "jocks can do anything" mentality (which had already been a been a problem with the group) and any stupid or criminal thing may have happened. Or not.

"Victim" not all that credible either. You've been gang-raped in the past and you still want to strip in front of a bunch of drunk jocks with no bouncer/security present? Not the smartest tack in the box. (Though give her credit for not going in alone.)

Could she have been drugged then imagined or "flashed back" the attack? I imagine toxicological and crime scene evidence will be important.

And if the victim ended up so falling down "drugged" or drunk as the defense claimed, wasn't there one young man in the group who would have called a cab or seen that she got home safe?

IMO they were ALL (boys, young men, and the two women) guilty of being classless low-lifes.

>>if she was sodomized by foreign object as claimed

She only started claiming it when her original story started falling apart. No such foreign object appears prominently on the search warrant, neither on the list of items to search for, nor on the list of items taken from the house.

It has NOT been reported that the accuser told police she was molested with a broomstick. Her account of the attack is set forth in the police probable cause affidavit which does not claim she was molested with a broomstick. The DA also did not claim this when he described how the alleged attack occurred to reporters. This whole ridiculous media speculation as to the broomstick appears to have been based on some confused comments by her father in an interview.

If she arrived in good shape and quickly appeared drunk or disoriented, there certainly may have been a "date rape" drug involved.

Also keep in the mind the other stripper has said the accuser downed half a mixed drink before spilling the rest and then immediately grabbed and drank another entire mixed drink that was given to the other stripper.

a "jocks can do anything" mentality (which had already been a been a problem with the group)

A minority of the team had been tagged for things like underage drinking, noise complaints and urinating outside over the last couple of years. I think it's a stretch to say they had a "jocks can do anything" mentality beforehand.

"Victim" not all that credible either. You've been gang-raped in the past and you still want to strip in front of a bunch of drunk jocks with no bouncer/security present?

I gather it is not uncommon for people who work in the "sex industry" to have been sexually abused against their will in their younger years.

Could she have been drugged then imagined or "flashed back" the attack?

Except that the details of how she claimed she was attacked appear to be completely different. The prior allegation involved her boyfriend and two of his friends, and there were rope burns and cigarette burns involved.

And if the victim ended up so falling down "drugged" or drunk as the defense claimed, wasn't there one young man in the group who would have called a cab or seen that she got home safe?

The other stripper had her car right there. No need to call a cab.

We don't know that she arrived in good shape.

1) She has a history of alcohol or drug problems (3 license suspensions (WRAL))

2) The pictures show that 2 minutes after entering the house she was walking around with one shoe. The other dancer didn't have this problem

3) The Lacrosse players have said from the beginning that she arrived impaired.

The 2 women involved have problems one is a convicted felon that had a warrant out for arrest the night it happened.
The other was charged with approx 8 felonies.
She also has a history of going unresponsive. The manager of Diamond Girls Strip club described her as going unresponsive and spacey. This was in 2002. She was drinking that night also. Add the AV's hospitalization for mental illness treatment/evaluation in 2005 and it going to be difficult to say anyone gave her anything.
