Greatly exaggerated. The Iraqi Constitution declares Islam to be the "official religion of the state," which I don't think is necessarily the best idea. However, the Article itself does not say that Islam is to be a religion forced onto the people of the country. It says in Article 7(A):

This Law respects the Islamic identity of the majority of the Iraqi people and guarantees the full religious rights of all individuals to freedom of religious belief and practice.

"Islam is the supreme law" is a grotesque overstatement.

We've spent more than $100 billion in Americans' hard earned money so Iraq can make Islam its "official religion." Another federal government boondoggle - - wasting my tax dollars as surely as all the spending to "rebuild" New Orleans and the Medicaire monstrosity and all the other spending binges.
