Yup - the CFR, who has a looong history of backing both "horses" in every race.
What, where are the Freemasons?
No good conspiracy can be complete without freemasons. Maybe work in the Lions and the Rotary. And Toastmasters.
Hold that thought whilst I go find my tinfoil hat....
Any group of dudes that would invite Jimmy Carter to be a member doesn't scare me too much.
Please type this message into your decoder and follow the instructions. All is going as planned...

Now please stand in the middle of your living room with your right hand above your head. Don't look at the light...
What about the Gnomes of Zurich and the House of Plantagenet?
General Jack D. Ripper: Nineteen hundred and forty-six. Nineteen forty-six, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.
Cool! They are doing a great job.
At least you could be honest where this article came from.

This one is the real laugher:

I would think this is a front organisation for the John Birch Society or a spinoff. I don't out of hand dismiss all of what the Bircher's say, it's just that they see monkeys where there are no monkeys.
I could argue a good case for a small group of very powerful people wanting to destroy the United States because it is the one big powerhouse against the One World Order or One World Government. But I could argue that very same case for any company, state, or nation that got big and fat and lost its edge. Look what happened with the Roman Empire. How about Sears?, which was once the biggest retailer in the US. IBM stock was worth $5 a share in the early 90's when before that nobody could touch them computer wise. Look at the once global empires of Spain, England, and France.
United States was founded on principles and became great because of them. We have been in the process of pitching those principles and now morals are eroding, absolutes are mostly gone, etc.
If you set yourself to looking for monkeys I guarantee you'll see em.
John McCain will undoubtedly be the GOP candidate for President and he belongs to the CRF. So does John Kerry. Surprisingly, Hillary does not, but Bill does so if she wins, he*ll still be dictating policy to her. We have allowed evil people take control of America, and I see NO WAY to stop them.

The CFR is a powerful think tank. Nothing more. It does influence policy, so the Russians had common sense to penetrate it and steer it left. I believe that a quarter of the CFR members are actually agents of foreign nations (Russia, mostly, but there are some Chinese agents too).
We know there are people who want to dissolve our national boundaries, with international courts, the UN, general anti-American sentiment, etc. So thats not a question. And we know there are always demagogues and thieves who deceive in order to maintain power. And we know Marxist principles are increasingly prevalent in our government and in popular culture. These are known facts, not conspiracy theory.
So why the instant ridicule just because CFR is put under scrutiny?
There really are people who wear tin foil hats, and they are insane. We should acknowledge the clear distinction between insanity and rational vigilance that happens to be out of the mainstream.
Fear of appearing foolish might be a motivate to jump on the tin-hat-jokes bandwagon. The same thing was done with McCarthyism, it became a label, deterring people to some extent from vigilance against communism.
Nothing!
So either they are the most incompetant people in the world or there is not a conspiracy. Either way, I'm not worried.
Who is Melvin Sickler? What is the source link for this "essay?"
Hilarious stuff. A comedy writer's goldmine.
Just think YOU can join this elite secret hushhush organization for only a few bucks. It keeps trying to get me to join but I wouldn't want to be part of an organization which has me as a member.
See my tagline, 'nuff said.
