Ouch. They hurt just to look at.

These are much more sensible:

"women's feet"
Paging Dick Morris.

Luckily, most of us live long enough to just stop caring about strappy sandals.

...coddled by boots and sneakers, ...On what planet does this author live? Coddled? Boots and sneakers have caused me every bit as much, possibly more, discomfort than sandals. My favorite time of day is when I can kick off my shoes! I consider shoes the worst part of the punishment meted out at the Garden of Eden!

"You've got to just put up with it," she says. "You've got to do it to look cute." Stupidity at it's "best".

Obligatory foot binding photo.
My grandma's feet, though nowhere near this bad, did have some similarities due to years of cramming her tootsies into 'way too small shoes.

But even the APMA knows it's futile to tell women to stay away from the latest foot fashions. Make that some women! I don't need to be told!

I've got huge feet. Masochistic shoes were never an option, fortunately for my tootsies :)

Why not go all the way and become a Birkenstock wearing "Sandilista"?

I don't buy shoes anymore unless they're comfortable enough for me to stand to be in them for a whole day. As a result, I don't own much in the way of 'sexy' shoewear, but I can keep a genuine smile on my face the entire time. ;o)

What are you talking about? Women wearing shoes? What hogwash.. who'd believe such a thing... everyone knows they are to be kept barefoot and pregnant... not fret their pretty little heads about the worries of the world.
