I have to go to work...Does gas money count?
I have to go to work...Does gas money count?
Well, I can tell you this- some people are going to be spending some money on my business today...
And I'm up and running because I HIRE CITIZENS. lol
We're doing our weekly grocery shopping today instead of tomorrow. Same for my Mother and Sister.
I'll probably spend about $750,000 today. It's not MY money, I have to sign a couple subcontracts for my company.
I will spend a few hundred anyway, time for my weekly carton of cigarettes.
I'm going to go about my normal day. I'm an American citizen and I shouldn't have to prove my value over illegal invaders. Our Country was prospering long before any mexicans snuck in.
$19.74 so far for smokes and a coffee.
I plan to knock off work early and go out shopping this afternoon. I am going to print up some papers for any stores I come across that are closed: "if you are closed because you value illegal invaders of your country more than your fellow citizens and customers, this customer has noticed, and from now on I will go elsewhere to do business."
I spent $60 (20 gals) for gas this morning, and will now spend another $100 or so, food shopping. (My 7-day work week forces me to do it during the weekdays.)
I ran out of beer just as this boycott thing happened. So ironically enough, I'll be buying a case of Corona.
I am having a baby shower for a relative this weekend, plus a get together at my house Friday, so I am going to go out and spend lots today getting ready for my parties.
waited until today to get my new golf bag and driver. over $500. also urging all mr friends who hire daily contractors to FIRE anyone who doesn't show up today.
Geesh...the old lady better not see this thread, or I'll be seeing a giant blot of patriotism on my next credit card statement.
I will be "spending" about half of the money that I will earn today in taxes. Much of this will be going to support the slobs you see in the street today. A simple thank you note would have been nice. Instead, they'll probably block traffic.
I figure home depot will get hit hard, so I am going to buy a high end laser level.
I've planned a day of shopping - food, household goods, kids' clothing for camp, lawn care supplies, and a new coffee press. First, however, I'll make sure the flag is waving in front of the house!
I usually wait a couple of days to phone in credit card receipts from my wife's art shows. This time, I did it so they'd show up as purchases today.
And we had a good day yesterday.

On a personal note?
Me & Mrs. B ( daughter of two whole families of legal immigrants ) have postponed all major household purchases for this day, and we will make a point, when shopping today, of mentioning this little factoid.
I propose May 1st be hereafter known as Capitalism Day!
