> > > >

Hello, hello, hello, everybody!!! Welcome to this week’s awesomely spectacular SINGLES THREAD (so awesome, I had to capitalize it), hosted by pcottraux and ilovew!!!

But enough chit chat. Let’s start tripping the light fantastic!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Of course, without a few tunes going on, dancing would just be a bad “a cappella” rip off.

Do the Monkey With Me!
Come on!!!

And now to get the ball rolling:

Well, let’s face it. When it comes to the art of conversation, I’m not exactly Picasso. I’m more like Johnny Bravo in that episode where he made butt prints on a canvas.

Hey, how'd you like to watch the show in 3-D, sweet thing?
Say there, pretty air mama, didn't you see me in your dreams last night?
Hey babearilla, that a pretty eensie-weensie, teeny-weenie polka-dot thingy you got going there.
Come and get it, ladies. I'm yours for the takin'!
Hey there, cutie pants!
Hey all you hot mamas. Wanna talk to a steamin' hunk of cyber fella?
Hey there, cutie pants. Am I as studly as the Statue of David, or what?
Oh, baby! I'm going to make your dreams come true!
Hya! Dreamy hunk, right here!
You wanna frisk me?
Wanna get lost with me (whoosh)?
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, let's roll in the hay.
I'm gonna say, 'Hey hot mama, wanna go back to my place for a game of Twister?
Lady: "How many times do I have to tell you I have a boyfriend?!" Johnny: "Well, you look like the kind of girl that could use two."
I bet your name's Mickey, 'cause you're so fine. You're so fine...
Hey there, foxy hygiene girl. (whoosh) I love a babe with minty breath.
All right. I guess that makes me the object of desire, huh baby?
Johnny: "Excuse me, miss." Lady: "(gasp!)" Johnny: "How'd you like to paint the town red with a happenin' hipster?"
Pardon me, hot sexy mama. If you'd please to take a look at my, (whoosh) Hya, studly bod, (whoosh), then I may have the pleasure of you wanting to be my number-one main squeeze.
Hey there, miss. I'm Johnny B. Wanna spend the day with me?
Whoa. Man, you're pretty!
Hey there, Spanish seniorita. Sprechen se love?
Hey there, smart mama.
You smell kinda pretty. Wanna smell me?
Say, how 'bout you and me sharin' a soda right now?
You're steamin' baby! You too. And you. And you, pretty man. Oh man, time flies when you're having fun.
Hello, teen hotline. You're boyfriend left ya'? Why, what are you wearin'?
Wanna do the monkey with me?

So, are we having fun yet? What am I saying…of course we are!!!

AND THE FUN IS JUST GETTING STARTED!!!

Let’s make it a weekend to remember!!!

Virtual friends are the best kind

Not necessarily. IMO, when you meet someone mano a mano, it's a lot more difficult for them to effectively conceal their true nature--whereas over the ethernet line, anyone can literally be whoever they want to be.

Of course, given the lack of sociability, I really should'nt be saying anything ;)

They probably quit the stamps around the time you were born, or even a little earlier.

If I were on a date, I would feel strange too if I paid for the meal/dinner/movie, especially early on in a relationship.

For a long time in my life (get out the violin!) I chased after men. I thought it was cool and bold and independent of me to pursue men I liked. And the men liked it too!!!—and appreciated that a woman asked them out. But you know what? ALL of those relationships never worked out. None of these men ever saw me as “marriage” material because they didn’t feel they had to work at the relationship They completely took me for granted, and when they got tired of me, I got dumped.

One day, in my early 30’s I swore off chasing men, and that's when I met my husband. I finally let go and stopped trying to find a man, and then I was found. Let HIM buy ME dinner, again, and again, and again—instead of going dutch after the first of second date. Wait for HIM to call me first and not the other way around. Does this make sense? It took me a LOT of patience, let me tell you!

Call me old fashioned, sentimental, goofy, sappy, and ridiculous, but ever since then, I’ve never been happier. :P

See? Then everybody's happy. 'Cause I sure don't want to know about their true nature!

Ah ok. If you were to say that you were "21" for example, than I would have said that you were just "young" and that you needed to give things more time, but at 30, you've probably been around the block a few times—and got burned more than once.

Honesty is the best policy, though.

I can't stand people who lie, make excuses, or cover up. It annoys the heck out of me.

It got to the point a long time ago where I quit asking women out. They always had an excuse why they couldn't go out with me but were dating different guys every week.

My ex worked with me and gave me her phone number. When I called her I thought she was going to tell me she liked another guy we worked with.

If a woman wants to go out with me she has to ask me or give me some very stong signs.

So far no one has since I got divorced fifteen years ago.

At this point I am resigned to my fate to die alone.

It seems to me that the entire purpose of marriage (besides having kids) is to find someone who watches your back--someone who has your best interests and concerns at heart. To me, love is caring as much for the feelings and needs of another as you do for those of yourself.

I find any insults or criticism to be contrary to this. Discussions are GOOD. Sharing opinions is GREAT. Belittling someone or telling someone what to do...not so good.

For some reason, I needed to say this today. :-) Thank you for listening.

I am true-blue about who and what I am on the net-- what you see WILL be what you get. No "false identities or poses" for me!!

I think it is pretty cool that you have said what you have said. I agree with it all.

Maybe you are in the right place at the right time tonight.

Better than to die alone, than with someone who doesn't care about you!!

Just like it is better to suffer in silence, than to be humiliated in public!!

I just get tired of watching people tell other adults what to do. A boss can do that, and parents can do that.

I figure if I like me (and I'm not hurting anyone), then I don't need to change. If someone fits with me...welcome. If they don't, they ought to move along instead of pretending, sucking me in, and taking on the project of changing me into something I don't wanna' be.

:-)

(Boy, what HAS gotten into me???)

I've told people that when I die I will owe nobody as much as a nickle. I don't lie, cheat or steal. I'm brutally honest.

I'm also the most loyal person to friends that I know. I always wished that I could get a little loyalty back, but now I realize that it is not going to happen.

I am disgusted with just about the entire human race at this point. No, make that well beyond disgusted.

I have accepted being alone as my destiny.

I figure I must have done something real bad in a previous life and I am being punished for it. I sure haven't done anything bad in this life.
