May 1: Primero de Mayo is the Mexican national holiday that is equivalent to the U.S. Labor Day.

I know in Victorian/Edwardian times, they did celebrate May Day, I've seen it in magazines and literature from that time. I'm not sure why they celebrated it, time for research I guess but in that case, there were no ties to labor or Communism.

BTW, I hope everything is fine with your mom. In my case, I'm back to running a feline MASH unit. It seems to me that boo has a real bad cold with the infection, we feed him food and water along with anti-biotics until he is able to get around better to feed himself. The good things are his organs are working OK and they cannot detect any cancer.

So, here I sit, reformatting my Mac disk, and reinstalling System 7.5.3 so I can upgrade it automatically to 7.5.5.
