THE ***OFFICIAL*** (That’s right, OFFICIAL) WEEKEND SINGLES THREAD—APRIL 28 through 30

> > > >

Hello, hello, hello, everybody!!! Welcome to this week’s awesomely spectacular SINGLES THREAD (so awesome, I had to capitalize it), hosted by pcottraux and ilovew!!!

But enough chit chat. Let’s start tripping the light fantastic!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Of course, without a few tunes going on, dancing would just be a bad “a cappella” rip off.

Do the Monkey With Me!
Come on!!!

And now to get the ball rolling:

Well, let’s face it. When it comes to the art of conversation, I’m not exactly Picasso. I’m more like Johnny Bravo in that episode where he made butt prints on a canvas.

Hey, how'd you like to watch the show in 3-D, sweet thing?
Say there, pretty air mama, didn't you see me in your dreams last night?
Hey babearilla, that a pretty eensie-weensie, teeny-weenie polka-dot thingy you got going there.
Come and get it, ladies. I'm yours for the takin'!
Hey there, cutie pants!
Hey all you hot mamas. Wanna talk to a steamin' hunk of cyber fella?
Hey there, cutie pants. Am I as studly as the Statue of David, or what?
Oh, baby! I'm going to make your dreams come true!
Hya! Dreamy hunk, right here!
You wanna frisk me?
Wanna get lost with me (whoosh)?
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, let's roll in the hay.
I'm gonna say, 'Hey hot mama, wanna go back to my place for a game of Twister?
Lady: "How many times do I have to tell you I have a boyfriend?!" Johnny: "Well, you look like the kind of girl that could use two."
I bet your name's Mickey, 'cause you're so fine. You're so fine...
Hey there, foxy hygiene girl. (whoosh) I love a babe with minty breath.
All right. I guess that makes me the object of desire, huh baby?
Johnny: "Excuse me, miss." Lady: "(gasp!)" Johnny: "How'd you like to paint the town red with a happenin' hipster?"
Pardon me, hot sexy mama. If you'd please to take a look at my, (whoosh) Hya, studly bod, (whoosh), then I may have the pleasure of you wanting to be my number-one main squeeze.
Hey there, miss. I'm Johnny B. Wanna spend the day with me?
Whoa. Man, you're pretty!
Hey there, Spanish seniorita. Sprechen se love?
Hey there, smart mama.
You smell kinda pretty. Wanna smell me?
Say, how 'bout you and me sharin' a soda right now?
You're steamin' baby! You too. And you. And you, pretty man. Oh man, time flies when you're having fun.
Hello, teen hotline. You're boyfriend left ya'? Why, what are you wearin'?
Wanna do the monkey with me?

So, are we having fun yet? What am I saying…of course we are!!!

AND THE FUN IS JUST GETTING STARTED!!!

Let’s make it a weekend to remember!!!

Hi All!

I just arrived home from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and visiting with our awesome troops. We had a few surprise visitors tonight.

Dolli Cali asked that I stop by here to tell you all "Hello!" She and a friend were on the street corner for a very long night, holding signs and waving flags.

It was very nice to meet Dolli and FReep with her this evening. She will be FReeping in DC tomorrow at Bethesda Naval Hospital and the Correspondents Dinner before heading back to Ohio.

Well as some of yuns have seen, I have another sick cat to care for so I'll have to bring my own version of a feline MASH unit back into service, except that "Operation Greystone" has now become "Operation Buddha (Boo)." We have Boo at home now, he mainly sleeps, we have to feed him manually as well as give him some water and anti-biotics until we can knock an infection out of him. He was fine Tuesday, sick Wenesday (we gave him a 24 hour chance to perk up) and took him to the vets Thursday. The vets tested his kidneys, at first, they said, kidney failure, but they now say all of his organs are OK. They X-rayed him for signs of cancer or other abnormalities, no cancer or anything else detected so they seem to think it is an infection of unknown origin. We will watch him closely, I think we have a good chance, I wish he would start eating and drinking on his own but we do have to give his medicine a chance to work to knock out whatever he has, until then, like with Greystone, we have to feed him ourselves. No IV's thank God, but if we need to, we got plenty left over from Greystone. Boo is 16 years old.

That was my previous understanding but since being single, I've found out, one tire at a time works fine. If we were in a perfect world, we'd have perfect tires, 4 at a time.

My uncle was a little weird on this one, he always replaced the left side tires then the right side instead of front and back. I think he got the idea from NASCAR or something. B-)

In the past, I've always had some guy friend at work that knew about computers I could call to help me tonight, my computer keeps logging off! I seem to be fresh out of guy friends, and my computer keeps messing up so I'll log off for the night. Not sure what's going on...

Have a great night, I give up, this is about the 5th time I've tried to respond to you. I'll be very surprised if it works.

Yeah, I had problems with FR late yesterday, tried to post about my cat, Boo, but for some reason, FR was kind of flakey and unresponsive so I gave up. What problems have you been having, was it trying to log into FR or is it the computer itself? I know sometimes I have a little trouble with mine, but I think it is because I'm behind the times, I use a 1998 vintage Pentium II using Windows 98SE, it is a Gateway but now it is more of a "Franken-Computer" with all the extras I've put on it. B-)

I'll see your SpongeBob and raise you a "Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend!" B-)

Even though she has the voice of a Pittsburgh steelworker, Dr. Girlfriend is looking better to me as time goes on. B-D

The job is full-time at Magic Mart (sort of a miniature Wal-Mart). I'm having to work first shift all week for training and then I'm being moved to second shift after that. The place is actually pretty fancy. I'm getting an ID card (you swipe it to clock in) and the pay is direct deposit. They are a lot stricter and more professional than anywhere I've ever worked. Gulp! I'm scared out of my mind!

Relax. I've learn that there are three very basic job skills to have. This is for the benefit of any lurkers out there and the Universe at large. One, show up for work, two, listen what they tell you to do and so on, and three, learn new things. Until I got into the accounting department of the ground division (I work at the HQ) of a major shipping company, I had to put my dues in at a pharmacy developing pictures. Of course, I have a huge work histoy prior to that but I'm talking about recent years. Congradulations, jobs are tough to get and don't grow on trees, I thank God every night, unless I zonk out before I get my prayers out. B-)

Radio shack IS a part of Tandy. They just renamed the stock Radio Shack instead of Tandy, and flushed the whole company down the toilet!! All they are good for now is toys and cellphones!!

I remember they had a subsidiary, Tech America, for a while, I'm trying to google them down. I can't find them so I don't know if they are around anymore or not. Radio Shack is good for token stuff like soldering irons, jacks and so on, but it seems if your a hardcore hobbyist, you got to go elsewhere.

I think I got most of your e-mails--I've been doing a lot of running around lately (now that the weather is nice I'm beginning to develop a social life!) and have missed a lot. Hope to see you and the gang tonight after I've watched the United 93 film today.

Well, I did my share of studying. I have a BS in Industrial Management and Computer Science (dual degree) from a University.

I had to take Calculus in College in 1984 after having Algebra I in ninth grade in 1964 as my highest math class.

I got a "C". At least I didn't flunk it.

I know about being bored in school. In high school (and junior high and grade school) the minutes seemed like hours.

In college they covered more in three months that you covered in high school in nine months.

I hated studying. Especially all the unnecessary subjects. Especially the unnecessary courses taught by overachiever teachers who expected all of their students to be overachievers too.

ooh...err, ok. Never mind! You already paid your dues! LOL

Mine isn't nearly as intense. But I'll tell you what, accounting sure hits all the hot-button issues like taxes and regulations. Unbelievable.
