I heard that, too, but then I saw a guest, within the past two days, on CNN, MSNBC or FOX laughing and telling the host, "You can't believe how easy it is to alter the time on photos."

It is easy to change the timestamp on the photo, but you cannot change the embedded time in the camera, from what I understand.

It might be easy with a regular camera but the photo is built into a "system" in these cell phones. There's even the possibility that GPS data on the photos is available and that's related to time.
