I think this is a good policy. The mom could be fudging the truth on the real reason for Mangum's mental breakdown last year.
I mean, who loses their mind over money, unless you have a lot of it, then you lose it all!
It appears her mom was not even accurate about the past rape report. She said the rape happened when Mangum was 17/18, but the police report reflects that is when it was reported, but the so-called rape was a few years earlier, when Mangum was 14.

They knew what a flake she is and they did not step in ASAP and end this rather than supporting her while she piled one incredible lie on another and is about to start a race riot, not to mention ruining lives and sending innocent people to prison.
That's what I think. I suspect she's been committed by the police before for mental observation and drug rehab or some kind of detox entered into the picture. That's where she was headed that night, and instead cried rape to get out of the testing and the commitment.
