I'm taking anything the mother or father is saying with a grain of salt.

It may turn out that saying the AV was having a hard time struggling to get by and had a breakdown because of that may be trying to put a better face on what is in fact a drug or alcohol dependency or a serious psychiatric condition.

I think this is a good policy. The mom could be fudging the truth on the real reason for Mangum's mental breakdown last year.
I mean, who loses their mind over money, unless you have a lot of it, then you lose it all!

It appears her mom was not even accurate about the past rape report. She said the rape happened when Mangum was 17/18, but the police report reflects that is when it was reported, but the so-called rape was a few years earlier, when Mangum was 14.
