I need help. I am a relatively small woman who just received her CCW. I need a holster that is easily concealable. I was thinking an ankle holster or backpack/purse to carry it. Where would be a good place to buy something and does anyone have any ideas on what else would work better?
There are some very cool handbags with all kinds of 007 designs for carrying. I got a catalog/magazine (a Guns for Gals thing) as kind of a gag from a friend (I like the idea of carrying more than I like actually carrying) but those bags are just too cute! If you're interested, I'll go try to dig it (the magazine) out of my pile o' stuff.
I've got a nice shoulder holster that is comfortable and concealable with a jacket.
Here's an example I found by googling "handbag holster."
Try this website.

Or not. I looked at the 'forum leaders' and recognized not a single name as an 'expert'. More likely they're all National Reasonable-regulation Ass members and accustomed to dispensing our Rights as mere privilege.
To the original topic; I have carried Mexican cross-draw for many years for practicality and frugality in addition to thumbing the eye of the gallus-snappers in the NRA. See http://www.nrawol.com for loving-gun control abuses from the NRA. Tagline...
I would think ladies would have problems drawing from a shoulder holster
Yes, I am a sexist pig
Are you related to Jack? (I know, different spelling)
It depends on what you will be carrying.
I've never had to, in an emergency. There's just something about having it handy and out of sight.
I don't know where you can find it, but I saw one lady with a purse that had a compartment in the middle of it where you kept the gun and you could actually reach in from the backside of the purse and fire the gun through the purse if need be (of course this would destroy the purse).
Fobus USA just started carrying a slim inside the pants (waistband) holster that's under $26.
Also, try sights like Cheaper Than Dirt. They have a large selection and can match to your gun.
They are expensive, but extremely well made.
I had not checked their site in many years....the prices are lower than I remember plus they have great new styles too!!!
Beretta .380
Men and women are different, thank God (what a concept ... that too many people fail to grasp).

Most of them on the left. If I may edit: Men and women are different, THANK God for the differences
