My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Up near Gloucester, there's the famous Essex clams, considered the world's best, and down the Cape, you can eat clams till you are a world expert. I love clams and most fish, and I'm ready to go.

I want to thank you for introducing me to your thread. It has drawn out a long forgotten love of poetry.
Introduction to Poetry
Billy Collins
I ask them to take a poem
and hold it up to the light
like a color slide
or press an ear against its hive.
I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room
and feel the walls for a light switch.
I want them to waterski
across the surface of a poem
waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do
is tie the poem to a chair with rope
and torture a confession out of it.
They begin beating it with a hose
to find out what it really means.

LOL
So many poets can be very cryptic when they write. ;)

(Nash) I always enjoyed him when he was on the tube.
Nipsie Russell was another fun poet.

Time wrapped in Mist, Magic, and Moods
Mist Fall
It swirls about in silvered silent shifting,
natures cloak of invisibility so soft,
hiding far more then my mortal eyes can see.
Sounds come so soft in this mysterys sifting,
whispering as our feeling begin to loft,
and float on the moment as on a vapory sea.
Through sudden spaces we count stars drifting,
and wonder at their names again as oft,
we let the moody moment carry us where it flees.

Solar Art
Morning in Lifes Gallery
The sky soft sifts pearl tones
of delicate rose and misty orange
dawn song
a visual print within my mind
and I pause
and I wait
contemplating
the brush strokes of my Masters hand

:^)
You must be staying up pretty late to get confused over sunrise and sunset! (I used to be that way, but then by sunrise I was pretty much 'confused'!)

A Little Night Magic Please
by bentfeather
Cold desert nights with shooting stars
a crescent moon hung in space
depict a picture of night magic
Night magic the times I remember you
the mountains, that warm sunny day
all play before my eyes, on cold desert nights
shiver in with delight as those memories unfurl
as though they happened yesterday.
Time marches on, but the jewel of my heart and soul
shine as the shooting stars in a cold sky
and I remember the warmth of you
the look of love in your eyes.
The sound of love in your voice
the gentle farewell, until we meet again
are etched in my mind like acid on glass
and those stars in the night skies are the
mirror to my heart.

Another World Within
Barren Places
Mountain fastness, stark space,
cold as the blue moon,
or an unloving soul,
scarred by passing time and events,
like a broken heart,
an enigmatic emptiness,
an empty sea,
a silent night,
another world within,
filled with a chilling wind

I feel the heaviness of sleep, creeping
round the edges of wakefulness
pulling me toward the lush comfort of my chamber
while the goodness of a clear mind, ease the stairway
to the stars, good dreams and good karma
and the wonder of whose face I see tonight
in the gallery of stars, and the warm arms of sleep.
