                   My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Granddaughter wants to work with animals. She does have good background with the food training.

 More cloudy skies today. ;(

I sewed a sweet vest yesterday for my daughter. Making another one today
Keeps my hands busy. See you tonight, Jewels.

Headache morning here, but I got to see a rainbow.

Maybe it won't be a fully bad day, after all.

    Good morning Ms Feather.

 *and soon my own computer*

I can relate to that, when I was living closer to my sister (for 3 months) it was a big issue for me. ;o)

I think it's rained here 42 out of the last 30 days (LOL!)   No, it's really 35 out of 42 days and it sucks big time.
Missed you and happy you are coming back!!

     Henri-Frederic Amiel defined charm as
"the quality in others that makes us more
 satisfied with ourselves."

Today is Friday, June 9, the 160th day of 2006 with 205 to follow.
The moon is waxing. The morning stars are Venus, Neptune,
Uranus and Pluto. The evening stars are Mars, Mercury, Jupiter

Oh sorry you had a headache.

Yesterday, I saw an Easter Oriole in the garden
the brilliant orange flashes on his wings
made me take notice of flying Oriole wings

And God's world of colour, brilliant, serene
I think in these wondrous colourful things.

I am soooo happy to be home. My shower is installed, but I can't shower tonight, the drain is not connected. Can you believe someone put my bathroom plumbing (in the basement) in a old coal bin! The workman has to crawl through a small window to get to the drain to connect.

My throne is in working order with no leaking! YAY

I have a nice new closet for towels and large enough to store my vacuum cleaner and other cleaning appliances.

The Sink will be connected tomorrow. New floor tile looks great. Now, I need to choose the decor for the walls.

I sewed another vest for my daughter today. It's a 4th of July vest. Came out really cute. She was well pleased.

On the way into town we stopped at a flower nursery selling everything at reduced prices. I bought 3 Gerber Daisies. One hanging Geranium, Mary Golds, Pansies and a couple of other things. I should write a poem about the F key dilemma.Frustrating to say the least.
To: bentfeather
You had the whole bathroom redone bigtime!! That'd be a dream here right now. We're still paying for siding the house and want to hold expenses till that's done.

I'm beginning to think we'd be better off borrowing to the hilt, living high off the hog, and leaving posterity to sort it out.

Well, I am not paying for this redo. I rent, so it's the landlords cost. It needed to be done. The floor was so uneven and rotten to boot.

I learned tonight the old footed bathtub was standing on three legs. Yikes. The plumbing was old and needed to be replaced.

I'm glad the landlord agreed to do this now.
To: bentfeather
The old tub is gone? I wonder if those things are still worth money. They're so beautiful.

Mom had the same problem. She got a new floor but not a whole redo. She was getting a bit old for that big old tub, but the tub stayed.

I bet you are going sleep like a log tonight!

Yes, the old tub is gone to storage. It was getting too, hard for me to get in and out of the thing. It also had a Rube Goldberg shower hooked up in it. The water did not drain out properly due to the uneven floor.

I felt sad about the old tub leaving the house after all the years it had been in the manse. It must have been installed in the 30s. All the fixtures were that old.

Yupper, I think I will have to crash soon. I am pooped out.

The workman is coming early tomorrow to finish the plumbing hook up. he will then return on Tuesday to put shelves in the linen closet. He asked me what I wanted. I have to do some thinking and planning about the closet.

I'll say TATA for now. See you tomorrow Jewels.

*HUGS*
