Scuse me?
The Kimster wasn't arrested for going out of state to visit her sick daddy!!
I'll have to find it...but the article said she had a warrant out on her. Parole officer turned her in. She hadn't made payments or shown up for hearings or some such nonsense on her part.
I doubt that anyone is proud of everything they have done, but they are proud or at least at peace with other things they have done, hopefully as a whole it balances out on the positive side. We're just humans after all.
As long as we are alive we have the opportunity, if we choose, to add more positives.
Question--
The photo of Crystal standing on the top of the stairs shows her wearing a white garter belt, with the garters hanging loose.....Where are the stockings? I haven't heard anything about them.
They were not listed on the evidence seized inventory from the search warrant. Were they in her purse?
ROFL!!
I told my in-laws yesterday that if this girl came on national TV and told the world she made the entire thing up, some of the people in Durham will swear "the white man got to her."

Of course there is a not insignificant number of racists who would believe that. That is because people who will not accept racism against African-Americans pretend there can be no racism against European-Americans.
Your parents?

Prissy Bissey needs to get a life.
I have a picture phone. I posted a picture my husband took in Boston a few weeks ago; the quality is about the same.
Did the pictures of her "dancing" show stockings?
We haven't seen those pictures.
I guess they may have come off during the "strip". Is that the article of her clothing the search warrants were looking for?
I don't know, but the link to the search warrant was on yesterdays thread, and there were no stockings listed. There was a bottle of K Y Jelly though. Most of the other items were computers, and cameras..also a photograph.
Part of what fascinates me about this story are the people on the periphery, like the cab driver and the security guard who are black and working jobs with lousy hours for low pay, yet they don't feel the need to strip, hook, pimp or "sling." Why doesn't the good Rev. Jackson pay for them to go to school?
That you, Dad? ;-)
When I was a senior, there was a guy in our fraternity, already admitted to medical school, who started dating a smokin' hot local girl. The rest of us kept telling him she was bad news (if gorgeous) but he was smitten. Two months later she told him she was pregnant and demanded $10K (IIRC) for an abortion. He was devasted but being a decent guy offered to (a) marry her or (b) pay for the pregnancy and child support. She was enraged but he held firm. A few days later, she "miscarried" and said she never wanted to see him again. That anecdote colors my views on town-gown stuff. Many Dukies are young and not nearly as street savvy as the Kim's of the world.
And I agree with you, a business would have to be a fool for walking into that local culture, and students admitted to Duke will be thinking twice before matriculating. Brodhead was awfully quick to throw the entire lacrosse team under the bus so it is logical to conclude that the Unversity will not stick up for its students when the going gets rough. Brodhead's attitude didn't help -- it was reported that he said at a recent alumni event that if they are guilty they should go to jail, and if they are innocent then that's too bad (strangely mirroring Kim's comments) -- a comment most in attendance took as "let them eat cake." A pity, really, because I still love Duke and think Durham can be a good location. And I agree with you, after this the town-gown will never be the same.
But there is an election in a racially diverse town, money to be made, and ambitions to be met, and for Nifong, Kim, Simeon, and others, that has to come first.
Roberts, a single mother who has waited tables for the past few years, had been convicted in 2001 for embezzling $25,000 from a Durham photofinishing company, where she worked in the payroll department. Her probation officer issued a warrant for Roberts' arrest in September after she failed to pay restitution and missed several appointments.

The cab driver is from the Sudan. Perhaps that is why he spoke out.
There's a song by Stephen Lynch that seems to fit:
Had to see you one last time,
There's something on my mind.
How do I say what needs to be said,
The words are hard to find.
How about, "Bitch, gimme my money."
"I want my money and I want it fast,
"Hey Bitch, gimme my money,
Else I'm 'bout to take it out your ass."
Brodhead better enjoy his 'stay' in Durham; Bucky Waters is after him.
And I don't think Bob Bennett, much as I dislike him, is there to play around.
The tide is turning against the Duke administration. And when the truth comes out, all hell is going to break loose on that campus, not to mention the surrounding areas.
I am in Raleigh and people here are furious about it; my inlaws down at McGregor Downs, the liberal burden on our family (I'm voting for Clinton because he's going to tax the rich.....DUH) are shocked at what has gone on over there.
Nobody's buying it down here.
And needless to say, I'm thinking there are quite a few Northeastern liberals who are rethinking their position on tolerance.
Breaking Pneuse:
The reporters at The New York Times, have gained recognition world wide for their talent for writing fiction and calling it news.
Due to dwindling readership, the Times is well on it's way to becoming a weekly tabloid. It's reporters are well on their way to becoming unemployed and unemployable.
