I used to make my own fireworks. All sorts of things.
Some were quite loud and powerful.
My favorite prank was when i was on a ship. If guys left their lockers unlocked, one of the jerky kids would turn the lock around and lock it so it was real hard to get open. I saw him do mine, and was doing some welding in the area, so I welded his locker shut. :)
Find it hard to believe though.
nothing can beat the old duct tape the soldier to his cot trick. Once we managed to tie a guy up and hang him upside down, ahhhh good times.

Worst trick I ever saw (funniest, too!) was a bunch of guys got into the white tyvek suits, with the scott airpacks and woke up the guywho was sleeping in from midwatch and said "Oh my God, we found one alive!"
