OK, GUYS, LET'S S ROLL!!
I thought Maybe a good way to begin tonight's discussions would be for us to share about some of the best pranks and jokes that we either played on someone,(or someone played on us) when we were younger(or nowadays, for that matter)
Also, we could share about some of the crazy things we used to do, when we were younger(or perhaps still do) that were seen as fun at the time, but look foolhardy to us today.
I'll start things off, and share about one thing I did about 20 years or so ago, when I was 18-19. I would go on little "scenic routes" as I used to call them. (keep in mind that in 1986-87 gas was WAY less than $1.00 a gallon). Now, I did not just drive around aimlessly, but I had a friend named Paul with me. And Paul was a LOT more daring than I!! while I drove, Paul tossed bottles, cans, eggs and fireworks out of the car, mainly at road signs, but also at a few mailboxes. I egged him on, and thought it was a LOT of fun!! Paul conned me into believing that I was not doing anything wrong, since I was "just driving". (I just have to chalk that up to youthful stupidity...) In reality, I would had been the ONLY one to get into trouble had we been caught, because PAUL WAS ON HOUSE ARREST at the time, for a B&E that he and some others had been involved in , AND he was only 17!! SO, had we gotten caught,(and in early '87 we ALMOST did!!) I would had gotten the book thrown at me, for vandalism, littering, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and who knows what else!!
I'll reserve the stories about me messing with gunpowder, acid, gasoline, lighter fluid and fireworks for another time!!! (He....He... He..)
SO... Does anyone else care to share anything(that the statue of limitations has expired on !!) LOL!!

Be very happy that you missed out on both the eight-track and the cassette tapes.
The only way to find a song on them was to fast-forward or reverse. You had to keep pressing the play button to see where you were on the tape. It took forever to find a song.
CD's not only sound much better but are far more convenient.
I'm only happy that they brought out a lot of my favorite old albums on CD. Mostly remastered and they sound so much better.

My parents still have some eight-track tapes. When I was a kid, me and my brothers used to look at em and say "Who ARE these people?" Lol I think it drove my parents crazy.

My folks talk about eight-tracks...
I remember the only music I've bought were CD's (and within the past couple of years,
My mom has cassette tapes--and stashed a record player in my room ;)
Ironically, my dad's 1997 minivan had a cassette player as a standard item...

I'm great. How was your weekend?

Well, you missed out on the eight-track and the cassette tapes.
You also missed out on a great deal of excellent music.
But you can still get most of the music on CD.
Except I still can't find "Buckingham Nicks" by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who both joined Fleetwood Mac after they made that album. Fleetwood Mac did three or four songs off of that album after Lindsey and Stevie joined up with them.
I can't find it because they have never brought it out on CD.

CD's were out about 1987 or even a little earlier.
It takes a while to switch completely from one format to another. People have large music collections in one medium and are reluctant to give them up and having to start a new music collection from scratch.

Got an enormous amount of work to do tonight. *sigh* Because I'm now posting on Mondays, I'm going to have to draw my WHOLE cartoon tonight, all 3 panels. I put it off, and I'm not going to have time tomorrow. *double sigh* It's going to be a long night.

You mean aside from the fact that I have strep throat and did absolutely none of my take home essays or projects? Other than that, it was okay :)

I see...
I don't remember much earlier than when I was four or five--roughly 1991.
I didn't buy my first CD for a few years after that...;)

Yes Bang & Olufsen are considered by many to be the bees knees but then other people rave over bose or certain models of warfdale.
We have a shop in Ashford that sells Bang & Olufsen equipment including plasma TVs the prices frighten me just to look in the shop window.
I have a friend who swears by Warfdale 301s but he blew them with a super duper amp.
