Maybe this site will help a little: "Memento" Plot FAQ
I haven't seen that, so I can't help you get it :~)
We're watching ~Napolean Dynomite~ now... that Rosie brought over
Wow.... ;~)
btw... saw future weapons tuhnite...
mmmmmmmmmmmmm... Tavor...
You have to watch it backwards to really get Memento.
We watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" here. I need to go to bed now, my leg hurts.
It's a little twisted...but I like it. ;-)
Still wanna buy Mystery Men one of these days.
I liked it! Like I said, it would have been even better if you'd have brought the pot to go along with it :~)
Last I heard, no Hobbit film was on the table yet, although many folks want it to happen. Myself included!
To my understanding, there are some sort of ownership issues being haggled over - to be expected after the success of the LOTR flicks, of course. ;-)
I'll be happy just as long as PJ directs it. There's a website running a letter campaign here though - if you want to check it out.
g'nad - the garden is a wonder! And those kittens are ~almost~ as cute as your son is. *grin*
Suzi - Car's all fixed and running fine. I plan on taking her to a mechanic once she arrives to get her tuned-up and have her fluids changed to fit a cooler climate. :-)
Hair, ecurbh, Rosie - THREE MORE DAYS!!
Been running around all day - got the last of the boxes sent out. My dad came in from Chicago and my littlest sister, Roxy, came in from Dallas to bid me off. Both of my sisters and I had dinner with dad tonight. He brought us some lovely bracelets and announced that he wants to have a dinner with us once a year to be sure we stay caught up and in touch. Heh....
We're having an Alyson Bday/Roxy Bday/Ruthy going away party tomorrow.
BTW, what a picture! Makes ya proud, doesn't it? :-)
Wow... lots of goings on.... see you in a few days :~)
I must confess admiration of those guys who work with the enemy's high explosives. I'm no big fan of HE myself, unless it's rounds leaving our own artillery.
We got to throw two live grenades in Basic. I really didn't think much about it, until it was my turn in the grenade pit, and the sergeant said to pull the pin. Then this hugh sensation of "what am I doing with this thing?" hit me. As the saying goes, once you pull the pin, Mr. Grenade is no longer your friend.
The Tavor looks interesting, but certainly not as elegant as the FN and Steyr bullpups. It looks like they're placing all their bets on that electronic sight.
I'd love to give one a thorough workout, to see where the superiority comes in. Maybe they've done it. On the other hand, they're still using the same less-than-optimal 30-round GI magazine that was rushed into production during Vietnam.
:-)
Well you're just a partyin fool, aren't ya? Y'all have a great time getting sent off!!
hehehe...
Mornin' everyone.
It's gray and dreary out today, so I'm struggling to get motivated. Woke up and realized that I haven't bought my sister a birthday present yet! Yikes!
~sip~
Morning, didn't see the show but read the specs on another thread. Sounded very interesting. I'd like to give a try but it looks likes it would be classified as 'a short barreled rifle', hence, a bit tough to get in this area.
Morning, looks like you've a full day planned; have a great time.
Back from the dogpark, gypsygirl went into full 'puuleeezee, canwegotothedogparktoday, puulleeeze' whilst looking so expectant, and 'series' nuzzling. heh, so, sip, off we went. In visiting with the other dog owners there, we found out it was kind of a 'wayside waifs' reunion. All four dogs were adoptees from there. Small world.
I've been promoting 'rescue' dogs to the few dogless workers in our group. Seemed to work, last week, two of them emailed us pics of the 'new' dogs. Both adoptees, one fella got a two year old female lab and the other a male golden/cocker mix, about five or six years old. Yessssss. Just two hold-outs.
Gray and dreary here too. I am hoping littlest brother's softball picnic is cancelled. My leg hurt way too much for me to go to church and I don't particularly want to go to the picnic either.
Great job, you had a part in saving those two dogs, and giving them a new good life :~D
Slept in here, just woke up. ecurbh and I are going on a trail ride this morning :~)
I believe at least one model has a 16 or 20-inch barrel. Whether they will make one in semi, and go through the hassles of importing it here, is another matter.
