The Hobbit Hole XXIX - Until the stars are all alight...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 04/20/2006 2:10:46 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Until the stars are all alight

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hehehe...when the hits start slacking off, go into "edit resume" and you should probably save it even if you don't change anything. That should bump it up to "most recent resumes added" and get more people looking at it.

:)

No, you didn't cavort or
No, that's not the company?

I'm just sitting here laughing with tears in my eyes...jedis wanted to know what I was laughing about and I tried to explain but it escaped them.

I didn't cavort.

I don't think anyone would be impressed with my cavorting skills.

Kelly is who I worked for in CO. They didn't have a hugh tech presence there or I mighta done better. I liked working with them, for the most part.

Does Robert Half do environmental type jobs? I hear they're good, too.

Please forgive me for those I forgot to ping...

G'nad is asking for prayer. He put his application in for a job at the Fort but they said it was too much of a step up for him (because the job he has now is a very low pay grade)...though in the past his application has been accepted for other jobs at a high grade. His friend said that it would be between him and another guy if he could get his name on the list. His friend has some pull but we need God to help get his name on the list. His friend will only be able to help for the next couple of weeks and then he gets transfered.

G'nad is exausted. He's sleeping now but probably not for long because of all this. Nights are so hard.

My prayer is that God would help get him on days...soon...
That G'nad would have the strength to make it until that happens.

I know, at least he has a job. We aren't sure if he needs one bad enough to stay there...but then we did just build that barn. :-)

Not my will but thine Lord, (please oh please oh please)

Mrsnad

If he's qualified for the job, sounds like an excuse. There's ways around rulz and they know it.

We'll pray they're guided ~appropriately~.

Ilya Kurayakin is in "NCIS"? What network is it on? I was just in love with David McCallum in my teens; he was the coolest!!

I never joined a homeschooling co-op for that reason. I did join a group that arranged field trips, etc, but it was never a support group. I have a few friends, and we used to get together on a regular basis, but after one of them moved to Japan, we just stopped gathering. Clare was better friends with their daughter than with any of the others in the group, so we just haven't had the same impetus to gather. Also, her class schedule from Jan to May was such that it fell right in during the time we would have met, anyway, so that kind of wrecked the momentum.

I guess I didn't feel like I needed 'support' for the idea of homeschooling from anyone else, and our kids were older, so I didn't have the need for playgroups and such. Besides, I didn't want to get caught up in the dramas that are inevitable, as y'all have seen.
