New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Yeah...pretty good visit. Though...in the course of the evening, writing came up and got discussed at some length. It ended with Ben taking my copy of my littlest sister's book with him when they left, though I told him it was seriesly bad. So...now I'm remembering every so often that he has it and feeling sick to my stomach.
*sigh*
Dang, I forgot about that!! Think OB has the same system at his work. We got up early 'cause he had to go to Omaha for a meeting, he'll be back tonight. Actually, I get up 15 minutes before he does so I can get the coffee made. OB without his morning coffee is a pitiful sight :)
The monster plant has flowers!
Whew. I lugged 20 boxes to the UPS store and post office this morning and got them all shipped out. It's downright disgusting hot out there.
Still no sign of the 6 boxes I sent via USPS back at the beginning of May though. Stupid me - I didn't place any kind of tracking on them. :-(
But that's pretty much it. All that's left that doesn't fit either in my suitcase of the car will be packed at the last minute and shipped two days before I fly out.
I've driven poor Ramius crazy. It's a miracle he hasn't shipped those boxes back and changed his address yet! *grin*
Really.... pretty flowers? pictures?
I dunno that they're pretty...but they're there.
I'll hafta see if I can find some batteries for my camera...
Heh...it'll give me something to look forward to.
Stupid firewall!

Yes, the caution tape is still there...I'll fix that someday...
Huh - interesting... they look sortof like wax begonias.
I was thinkin' begonia too. Just never seen one quite so large.
BTW, how come none of you told me that dianthus doesn't rebloom?
It's an angel wing begonia plant...so probably related in some way.
I gave Anne a cutting last night...have another plant for Ruthy if she wants it. ;-) And I should really prune it again fairly soon. Getting tall again.
I don't know Dainthus, can't vouch for it :~D
Hmmm...don't have much experience with dianthus...
I hadn't even noticed it had buds - they were facing the window. Anne had walked around in back and tapped on the window, but I didn't catch that she was pointing 'em out until I went to give her the plant and was explaining what the lady had said you had to do to get 'em to bloom and that I hadn't gotten around to it yet. Anne said "But yours *is* blooming - didn't you know?"
Oops. ;-) But it's a nice surprise!
What's dianthus look like?
I've not had one...
It's obviously happy with you :~)
Thanks! I'll take it gladly! :-)
Ramius discovered that we have a pear tree and some sort of berry bush in our backyard.
There's another tree there too, but he isn't sure what type of fruit is hanging from it. Too small to tell, although we're thinking apricot maybe?
Ramius - wanna take a pic of it and we'll make guesses? :-)
Good morning!
I'm very busy, helping Steve look for a new job. Don't forget about me!
