Until the stars are all alight

Upon the hearth the fire is red,

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,

It's the one about college preparing women for life...or not. I knew what it'd probably be like, but I clicked anyhow.
I've gotten better about that, but...sometimes I give in to a sort of sick curiosity, I guess.

At this point I think I'm pretty OK with the idea of remaining single...Ye gods and little fishes, woman! Are you eighty yet? No? Then what's with the "I'll be single forever" riff?
I swear, I'm going to write a story about a woman who wouldn't leave her own land to meet anyone, and I'm going to drop a gorgeous hunk of man on her from out of the clear blue sky!
Literally drop him on her! Right on her head! Right in the middle of her tire garden!

Besides, he'd mash my corn and pumpkins!
I know I need to get out more here...probably will soon. But it's not as though I've never been involved in anything in my life, and I've really never met many folks who were even *slightly* possibles. Granted, this is a new place and a new time, but...I also don't want to dwell on my being alone to the point where it makes me all upset...if that makes sense? I've done plenty of that in the past, and it isn't worth it.

Yeah, yeah! And she'll have to hide her naked man of mystery from the inquisitive neighbor, the neighbor's shutterbug husband, and their assortment of wandering cats and dogs and horses!

It's not really that narrow...don't have that many requirements, but...
I dunno. If it happens, it happens. Just wish there were groups in the area. There's always on-line Catholic sites, but...err...
Granted, that's how my brother met his fiance, but when he did actually meet her, it turned out he knew her family already and just hadn't met her in particular. So...that kinda doesn't count.
