"Official" may be "over the first week or so" of going back and forth, but I should have workable Internet access this weekend... which means I can stay there. Assuming that there's power and such...
I might end up with everything moved this weekend, or not. But maybe not.
:-)
Hmmmm....should I plant my recycle bin?
It's a pretty neat setup...you put a grid in with a tube that runs from the top, then you pack moist soil in on top of the grid, mound it way up, then run a strip of dry fertilizer down the center, then cover it with that covering, then plant the plants through the cover. Then every day you water through the tube till water comes out a hole in the side...so the plants get watered from the bottom up.
It's a strange setup, I don't know if it'll work, but we'll see!
Thank you...I've taken a lot of pride in it and I get a lot peace from working in it.
Fiver is lounging in the shade out there right now...
It looks a whole lot like a recycle bin! I thought that's what it was at first!
It'd be a neat thing for someone living in an apartment, or with poor soil...if it works.
That's pretty funny. From my distant spectator perspective :~)
????
Heh heh...I know it.
Don't you think it would look cute with a few tomatoes growing out of it?
Ha ha.
;-)
Here's how this one works...
http://earthbox.com/consumer/how_works.html
Is it a kind of hydroponics? It has no soil at all, just soiless mix, fertilizer and I added a bit of hydrated lime so the tomatoes wouldn't get blossom end rot.
Bury this thread in a box...it's dead.
It's just dormant... give it time and love and it'll be fine.
It's just sleepin'?
Heh heh!!
That really is lovely.
I'm loggin' off...Steve will be home soon.
It's been a month and I'm still not used to saying that.
:-)
See ya!
Maybe a bunny came along and chomped off all its leaves.
I finally got a rain guage. Woo Hoo!
Great pics, btw.
Littlebunny Star was there when I got home, scoping out the parsley and basil. "Hmm. wire fencing, what's on the otherside must be good."
Congrats on the raingauge.
