DaBear's gonna post one of the great comic book covers soon ... the one where Jean Grey comes back from the dead.
And, in other news ... one of the previews was for Ghost Rider ... oh, my stars and garters, I am *there*!
That sounds rather cheesy...but at least it'll be nice to look at...
In other news, the "i" key on my 'puter is dying. I'm not sure what to think about that. Guess there are always external keyboards, but...
Heh...don't guess it's a big enough excuse to get a new 'puter. Have I mentioned I want one? Grrr.
Watching "military weekend" on the Discover Channel", and one part includes a visit to the super-secret factory in an undisclosed location that makes the M134 minigun. It was so secret nobody's face could be shown.
If it wasn't for a certain shade of blue used in the plastic bins, and a poster for a certain brand of reloading press that uses the same color, I wouldn't have a clue as to where any of this was happening. The security was just that good.
Still, it must be nice nice to work for a company that has its own Huey to fly around a private chunk of desert, shredding junk cars.
Next is the "Jesse James takes Monster Garage to Iraq". Maybe we can hit him up for some support.
Dark Phonix shakes things up, Uncanny X-Men #135 (July 1980, click for larger version):
A panel from that issue (Dark Phoenix has just kicked everyone's... tail. Again, click for larger):
As you can see, she was a lot more theatrical in the comic, ironically.
Her first appearance was my birth month.
I swear I had nuffin to do with it, though.
Speaking of such things, I finally watched the second half of Lost for this week.
Whoa. Lotta revelation, but a lot left unsaid. Don't wanna say no more now that we've got folks catching up, but...whoa.
I'm not at all sure what to make of that.
Makes for a good cliff-hanger. ;-)
Cool. She doesn't look like the sort of person to cross, does she?
Well, we're back, from the beach house.
Maybe, if we feel like going to ~town~, we should go see this X men III tomorrow... Might be fun, get to see the new theater anyhow.
Maybe if we went in the afternoon it wouldn't be horribly crowded?
Were there lines for it today?
Well, we saw it at the Alamo Drafthouse, which never has lines anyway. It was sold out, though. We bought the tickets for it yesterday online.
According to this thread, it's really doing well at the box office.
We enjoyed it quite a bit, and were intrigued by the end of the credits.
So true, and also good in Van Helsing!
