Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Until the stars are all alight
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

BTW, I watched the first four episodes of Lost, Season I last night...sigh...Ohh, so you know about Mr. Locke's secret! That's *still* my favorite episode of the entire series. By the way (mild spoiler for Season 2) it's been revealed that he's not the only one of the passengers who has been "healed" while on the island!

Yeah, that was cool.
When do I get to find out what the big noisy thing is?
(see y'all later)

When do I get to find out what the big noisy thing is?I don't think we know *yet* quite what that thing is.
Have a good day! Going to see "X-Men 3" this afternoon, here...

There should be a bag of some Cuban coffee left on the end of the counter. Maybe a third of the bag is left.
I doubt anyone there will drink it, so grab it while you're visiting. :-)
I've got 13 boxes done. :-P

I put some marigolds in the box with the coreopsis... planted some "vintage" coneflower seeds that I found whilst cleaning out the old seed collection.

Some of my sibs and I are going to see X-Men now too. I hope it's fun.

I apparently didn't manage to kill my marigolds. They aren't blooming again yet, but they're budding like crazy. Not sure what happened at first. I didn't think marigolds typically suffered transplant shock.
I'm glad they're happy, though! Looking forward to more flowers...

*sigh* Tam is being a velcro kitty today. Hard to do anything when you have a Siamese contantly clinging to you. Literally.
Ouch!
At least when I'm on the computer, he mostly sits in my lap...though right now he's alternating between walking on the keyboard and pulling at my arms, purring his fool head off.
Which reminds me...I need to get these guys a scratching post.

Might go to the movies, possibly.Joseph is agitatin to go see XMen3. We're trying to find a truck. The movie may have to wait.

Check Craigslist for the scratching post. A friend of ours got one used for a really good price, and it was about 4 1/2' tall!

We're looking to BUY a pick em up truck. We've already bought a cargo-trailer, now we have to have a truck to haul it. We think we have one; waiting to hear.

I didn't realize that I'd never seen the very first X Men movie! Clare caught it on TV and got it on DVR the other night. It was pretty good! I loved X2, and really want to see X3!

Both kitties are sacked out for the afternoon.
To: SuziQ
Eh...I'm just looking for a basic short rope type one. I haven't seen any on Craigslist, and I keep an eye on it.
Probably will get one from Petsmart while I'm out...if I go out. Wish it wasn't so wet! I don't mind the wet so much as I do the way it's hard to see on the interstate.

I think in the past ten years or so, some of the very best movies have been 'comic book' stories. Not all of them have been blockbusters, but they're entertaining, have good story arcs and interesting characters. Even the darkest ones, like Sin City, are well done - stylized and visually stuning.
