Can dogs go to Tolmie?
Yeah - probably a leash requirement.
We can do that!
So did you go to the truck stop for breakfast? Did you have pancakes? Did they have hash?
Who all stayed there last night?
Yes, yes and yes. ;-)
J and his fiancee, Jim, and my littlest sister stayed. Just the three of us now.
If you go there, you won't know where to look, but right next to the park is a little duplex. My family lived there when we first moved to WA when I was little. Tolmie was not a park then. Ramius used to swim in the Lagoon that is in the park. I was too little for that.
Looks like we may do a bigger *plan*, though perhaps I shouldn't use such a scary word. Some of the northern folks might meet us there.
But they're just starting their day. We're the morning folkses down here, I guess.
The website says the walking trail is 3 miles, and I remember it being easy... it's a walk in the park, not a hike. If I remember right there's even little signs here and there pointing out things about the flora and fauna.
Afterwards, there's another truck stop at that exit by the freeway, with more great truck stop food. Big breakfast all day, or a prime rib for about $10.

You are Geordi LaForge

You work well with others and often fix problems quickly. Your romantic relationships are often bungled. ![]() |
There's a zoo and aquarium there, but also a park with trails, and also the Old Fort Nisqually, an original frontier Army fort. The zoo and the fort would be less dog-friendly though.
Well, at least you are 0% expendable :~D
Looks like it may be Point Defiance...
Man, these Tacoma folks take awhile to get goin' in the morning. ;-)
I don't remember Geordi ever having any romantic relationships at all, but then I guess I didn't watch TNG that often anyway.
Well, the zoo and probably the fort cost money, but the zoo is kinda cute, it's a small zoo, and the aquarium is really nicely done. And I think the walking trails are still good if that's what you're going for. A little early for the Rhodies - too bad, cuz they have a big rhodie garden. Lots of harbor seals and sea lions around Point Defiance. If any of the trails say they go to a viewpoint for them, take them up on it.
If you're going to the zoo and taking Cisco, there's probably places to park that are shady. It's not gonna be ~too~ warm today.
Earth First.
We'll strip mine the other planets later.
He'd have a guest star love interest and then she'd get mutated into something awful... or she was a hologram... or something. It didn't happen often but it never went well.

Brash, rash and hasty, but everyone loves you. ![]() |
*Sigh*
Some no-account varmint critter ate my leeks last night.
Well thank goodness for that ;~D
Can't stand leeks...
He got a crush on the holodeck image of the woman scientist who developed his warp engine upgrade. It was part of the "optional materials" that came with the hardware. Later, he got to meet her in real life.
