Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Until the stars are all alight
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oops! I didn't think about lunch for tomorrow.

Point taken... but that's even more reason you shouldn't expose him to such mediocrity. Just make him listen to cds of good singers and if he has talent he'll pick up on it ;-)

In all seriousness. They ~do~ sound like a regular children's choir. But some of these kids have really nice voices and are already developing them.
This is bragging (it's what I do) but for kids who want to be in the arts, we have an excellent program.

Heh...Sam ~needs~ to go out. But it's raining.
Wife opened the door, he just stared out at the deck and said "no thanks."
Some ~water dog~ he is...

It's just gotta be on ~his~ terms. ;-)

It's different when the water's flyin' all over the place, and not under his power. ;-)
Cisco did the same thing this morning. If, however, I'm outside in it...the rain is all good fun. I really haven't gotten that figured out.
To: Corin Stormhands
Heh, we thinks most dogs would prefer dry conditions; gypsygirl does but will soldier on when nature can not be denied. She has a really great reverse gear when she see the rain.

He's meetin' with an Army recruiter tomorrow. Army?!?!...
Actually, I believe the Coast Guard to be a fine choice these days... on the front line in the WOT everyday, and help rescue citizens in need of savin'...

My little Zulu used to be able to hold it for ~days~
I sometimes wondered if she had developed some kind of fluids recirculation system, like in DUNE.

I swear Sam is sittin' in the kitchen with his legs crossed.

My Iris greenery is just about 9" tall right now. It will likely be another month before they bloom.

Well, the Army was the first to
call...
I've suggested he look at Coast Guard. Ramius was kind enough to send a brief overview of his thoughts.

Let us know if he starts dancing in place...
To: RosieCotton
I think Iris grow from tubers. I do know that they will propagate pretty easily, though I don't know if that's from the seeds in the pods after the blooms have died, then they get knocked out as you bump up against them and they fly out everywhere. I've got 'volunteers' all up and down my walkway from the bunch that started out by the door.
Those Bachelor Buttons are so pretty!

Well, our move has been delayed until next weekend. We got the contents of the garage moved off to storage, but we didn't get done with that until after 8:00 pm tonight, and there's just no time to prepare for movers arriving at 8:00 am tomorrow morning. So, we're going to reschedule them for either next Friday or Saturday.
I'm right tarred. Rose is gonna post pictures shortly, I think.
