Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Until the stars are all alight
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Ask the guy if it's moveable as one piece or if we'd have to take it apart. I'm thinking it's probably not all that heavy, but it might not hold it's shape real well when you try to move it.

BTW, the news on the dryer isn't great, though I guess I could just do laundry while home and set a timer to remind myself to turn it off. *sigh*
Here's the note the guy sent.
The part in question is the timer. The part itself runs about $80 and if someone comes out to put it in, there would be a service charge on top of the part cost. So it's probably not cost effective to replace it. So here's what we can do, subject to your approval. You can either return the dryer to me and I'll refund the price of the dryer, or you can keep the dryer as is and I'll refund $40 for the inconvenience. I do apologize for the inconvenience; the washer and dryer had only been in the garage since January and they were working fine prior to that at the other house. Maybe something popped loose during the move. In any case, let me know what you would like to do. Thanks.

E-mailed.
It'd be a good size to keep the lawnmower, shovels and all, and potting stuff. Not good for much else, but that's all I'd need. Perfect.

or a pellet rifle...
a .22 short thru a baby bottle nipple on the end of the barrel is almost silent... or so I've heard...

I'd take the $40... It's nice of him to offer that.
Other than that, it's IN and it does work.... get a kitchen timer, like you said.
To: g'nad
Heh....problem is that I've got stuff to do.
Ain't got time for 24/7 rabbit watching.

Yeah...I do appreciate that. Just not sure what my best option is. I'd really rather have one that works, but I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning one and getting another...not to mention I can't just keep taking advantage of the naybors.
She said while trying to buy a hugh shed...
To: RosieCotton
Whatever you want to do Rosie... We'll do :~D
You do need a dryer that works, and you do need the shed.
To: HairOfTheDog
Heh...and it just so happens that I *have* a kitchen timer...it's about the only part of my oven that does work. ;-)
Between the two of them, they make one appliance.
I'm thinking the refund is what I'll do. It's a bit of a hassle, but still way better than what we woulda had in the olden days...just means I have to get laundry done before bedtime.
To: RosieCotton
I'm watching the BBC series Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. SFX aren't as good as the movie and there's no snappy songs, but it's closer to the book.
