Oh yeah, Ruthy! A LOT of pictures!!
Suzi, we're going to both! Heh heh! We didn't plan to before we found out the president was speaking but now we are. They aren't going to have a processional at the one in Stillwater for security reasons...he'll just sit with his Graduate college on the stadium field. We'll sit in the actual stadium. Basically, we're just going to hear the president speak and Steve might as well get some use out of that $50 getup.
They are going to call his name at the Tulsa one and he will get to walk across the stage. (He is an OSU graduate, no matter what...but he attended the OSU Tulsa campus.)
The show is interesting. In many ways its a big infomercial for various programs to get heightened visibility and hopefully more funding. The show goes light on certain operational capabilities for opsec reasons and leaves almost too much to the imagination of the armchair generals. But that's ok. It'll give the bad guys some shock and awe to contemplate.
The host amuses me. He's a first-class bad ***. He has ego. He has strut. He has an entourage. But he was excited like a child, "Look at this!! Woah! And look at that!!" I was also surprised at how soft spoken his is.
Do-able is *good*. And y'all are due for some *good*.
That's terrific! It will be exciting for your boys, Steve's Mom and YOU! Will his Mom and the boys get to go to Stillwater as well?
My older sister had taken a few courses at college before she married and started having kids. When they were all in school, she started taking classes again, and she and her oldest child graduated college at the same time. She always reminds him that she did graduate BEFORE him, because, though they have the same last name, her first name is Brenda and his is Kenneth! ;o)
Heh heh!!
Yep, Ma will be going with us...I splurged and got a bit of a bigger rental car.
We needed a new infusion of hope...things looked so bleak.
Yesterday was an awful day.
Today is better. I made lunch for Steve and took it to him, hoping Dr. J would show up while I was there, but alas, he didn't. I wanted to just sit there and look intimidatingly at him.
Here is Mae today ;~D With one of Pippin and Tweek's brothers...
What a lovely dog. She looks just like Belle in the old "Belle and Sebastian" cartoon series! That cat does look like Tweek. What's his name?
Not sure what his name is... He's deaf, so we can't call him anyway :~D. Tiff was surprised Tweek wasn't, since she was told it's relatively common with white sealpoint cats with blue eyes.
I want a GP, but mrsnad don't want nuthin' that big...
have a feller I know that has a pair... they patrol the homestead, but are friendly, except when confronting predators... once he found the aftermath of a confrontation between his dogs and a pack of coyotes... his dogs were none the worse... but they identified at least 5 yotes from the pieces scattered around...
They're both gorgeous cats! That light color with the dark ear tips and tail is just stuning!
Yowsers! Now that there is protection!
youbetcha... my kinda dog...
sniff, I love doggie stories with happy endings.
The GP is a magnificent breed.
Anyone ever use one of those really dinky gas grills? Are they more trouble than they're worth on account of the dinky gas tank?
It's hot over here, but I want a real dinner...something that's likely to repeat over the summer. Seriesly thinking of checking to see if Fred Meyer has grills on sale...could do some chicken or something.
You need some good screens on the windows for escape cat, and some box fans.
Aww...pretty! Both of 'em!
I've heard that white cats with blue eyes are often deaf...don't know that that applies to points. Siamese don't have an extremely high percentage of deafness so far as I know.
Didja see Cisco play in the sprinkler when I first turned it on? I was on the phone with Dad and had to stop him to explain why I was cracking up. Cisco was trying to jump up and catch the water, usually right as it started down toward him and got him right in the face. ;-)
