Do the one at the high school. It would likely have more 'traffic'. More chance for your frap to sell!
That's what I'm thinkin'...
You know, if I had paid more attention in class the last month, I might not be staring at my notes wondering what the heck this stuff means and wondering if I'll even get a B on my final tomorrow.
On the other hand, this is AI so that might not actually have helped.
True Especially with your poodle example. They're fru-fru pets now, but the original breed was for something else entirely: waterfowl retrieval.
We have to be very careful with our two dogs. They're very obedient but there is always the *risk* they'll confuse a person with a cow. Their herding 'instinct' is a thinly veiled predatory instinct - which is the case with all herding breeds (just watch a Border Collie's eyes when he's working... scary!). Even the best-trained herders can slip and nip at someone/thing they're not supposed to.
Not that I'm defending the woman who let an untrained, unlicensed, shepherd out her front door, mind.
Right... Herding and retrieving are both prey drive, the dog has merely accepted that he's not hunting for himself, but for his leader.
Funny story... I watched a corgi (also a herding dog) in a 4H obedience show, biting the legs of her owner repeatedly during the heeling exercise... the dog wasn't heeling her, he was herding her :~D
Hehehe....the next horror series:
The Pool that Would not Die
Pool People
Attack of the Pool People
Revenge of the Pool People
Return of the Pool People....
Yeah, like at the heels of naybor's horses, who then (rightly) try to kill 'em...
herder becomes the herded... ;~D
eeek!
I'm guessing he was probably herding *something* when he ended up a stray, too.
nip nip nip
At least Corgi's are small...
At least...
The girl needed some knee high boots :~D
Yeah, some critters just aren't meant to be herded.
....And I promised if she took the certificate, we'd farm-sit. - Going to be a busy weekend... going over there twice a day, and we'll have her Great Pyrenees... who probably weighs 100 pounds by now.
Ouch!
Supposedly Borders use that stare of theirs more than the nipping method. Intimidation rather than pain. ;-)
Heh...I think Cisco was really conflicted when we took him to the park the other day. There were big groups of ducks wandering around...being a herder/retriever mix, he didn't know *what* to do. They were almost in herds, but...
Ooh - I gotta meet this dog! I've never seen one in person.
~snif~
It would have meant so much if you two had gone...
When you say "meant"...
Good news, I just got confirmation that I landed the internship I really wanted this summer, and at a better rate of pay than I had expected! Of course that means I'm gonna have to really cut back on the freeping... when the boss knows your dad you can't get away with any slacking, intern or not.
