Breaking overnight from Chris Cummo at ABC GMA:
Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.
Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.
12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.
Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.
I was watching Greta's show last night, and was amazed at the emotion with which Ted Williams spoke about these suspects and this case. Through my eyes, it seemed way out of proportion to the discussion of emerging facts about Seligmann's alibi. He could barely control his outrage. It comes from a place I can't understand.
who got knocked up while on a ship( not husband's baby)2 kids by that sailor, general discharge, left husband
You might be correct..school might...hummers never!!
This puts a hole in the airtight alibi.
That tells you a lot more about the Herald-Sun than it does about the alibi. The implication in the story is that there are 12 taxicab companies and that they checked all of them for the story. Then they try to go even further by saying the one that seems likely to them to carry duke students didn't pick them up.
By not telling readers that there are 30 or so companies in town and that there are far more that were NOT checked than were - they are either lying or incompetent.
LOL! Yes, I should have stuck a sarcasm tag on that.
Ted Williams spoke....holy bejesus that freezing stuff..suspended animation works..WOW...wonder if the Red Sox know he is alive again??
Before Duke, Terry Sanford had been an FBI investigator, served in the Airborne in WWII and been Gov. of NC. After Duke he was senator from NC. "Uncle Terry" as the students fondly called him would have known how to handle this. Where is a man today like that in North Carolina public life? Maybe Jim Black or John Edwards? (Gag, gag, choke, choke, barf, barf)
I think it's extraordinarily unlikely that these guys tampered with the photos either before or after they were taken. These are college kids at a girlie party, not master criminals.
It's actually a very good lesson.
I hope the driver is black, he made a comment that they were polite and tipped him well; so much for the racist, arrogant, white boy theory the MSM is spewing 24/7 esp. that vile nancy grace and breathless rita crosby.
"Nasty brat that I am, that was my first thought...:)"
I'm more Becky Sharp than Mother Mercy. I wonder why their parents didn't talk to these boys about the wiles certain women use to entrap gullible, stupid, horny young men.
God knows. I've scarred my boys for life!!! ( -;
I was frightened by the different perceptions of the OJ case by the white and black communities. It showed that - almost literally - we aren't living in the same world. Despite widespread integration, our mental universes remain fundamentally different.
I bet that Nifong offers "expert testimony" at the trial that the investigation of the validity of timestamps is "inconclusive".
He did the same thing with the DNA tests that came back negative.
Ted williams is a stupid fool who was on the D.C force with the shandra levy case, complete failures all of those nitwits on greta's legal expert panel
Has it occured to anyone that this is probably not this lady's first dance.....I suspect the defense could find any number of parties she has danced at.....and anyone who thinks those gals only dance at those parties....is unbelievably naive..
"... breathless rita crosby."
We call her Pudge. I wonder why they let her hoard food in her cheeks while she's on air?
Nancy Grace lost me forever with her hysterical, grandstanding coverage of Katrina. She seems to think that attitude is everything; I think she's full of you-know-what.
I never said I had faith in the system.
I do agree with the gist of your post, however.
