According to what Holloway's friends have told authorities, the blond-haired, blue-eyed van Cromvoirt was seen with their classmate after she left van der Sloot - the pals say they saw them in the Holiday Inn casino together. But when the casino's video surveillance tapes were turned over to police, investigators could find no sign of Holloway and van Cromvoirt, the source noted.
Van Cromvoirt's father is the security expert in charge of video surveillance at the hotel.
Aruban authorities are also scrutinizing a surveillance tape taken earlier on May 30 that shows Holloway arguing with a light-haired young man in a jewelry store in the Wyndham Hotel, according to the source.
They're trying to determine if the man is van Cromvoirt.
A source said police records indicate that "Natalee told her mom and others she was in love with a blond-haired, blue-eyed Dutch kid."
Holloway's mother assumed the youth was van der Sloot, though he has darker hair.

Natalee's mom stated last night with Greta that Natalee did NOT say she had fallen for a blue eyed blonde as reports keep saying so that is not true. I agree if Joran was innocent why all the lies? Why implicate others? They said last night this new "suspect" is friends with the party DJ Steve Cruz (sp) - While Joran claims he doesn't know this kid I find that a little unbelievable considering they are the same age and the size of the island. I think we will learn they are all in this together. Maybe this kid help get rid of her body for Joran. thoughts?
Last night on Hannity and Colmes, NH's aunt expressly denied that story. She said she talked to her sister (Natalee's mother, Beth) and said that did not happen. fyi.
That ugly lawyer on Fox will milk another year out of this case. That's two years talking about a single issue.
What a depressing way to make a living.
Is she the only "Missing Person" whose parents are beside themselves with grief and concern?
How about spreading the coverage and maybe helping other grieving parents find their loved ones or at least find some type of closure.
And I'm very surprised Jesse or Al haven't haven't played their race cards, asking why Black missing persons aren't covered in the media like little rich White girls.
No doubt, this Holloway case is even more important to the nation than that other missing white girl case four and a half years ago. Remember Fox News covered Chandra Levy for a year before that other incident took the spot light in September. It was 911.
Both of these kids are drop dead gorgeous .. neither of them have much trouble attracting pretty American girls.
I doubt Van Cromvoirt was trying to save anyone's ass except his own. I believe Joran didnt even know this other kid.
That's not to say that Natalee never called home. I don't know?

Why begrudge it at all?
It almost seems like reverse racism to begrudge it because she's white, and it sounds like jealousy to point out she's pretty - and resentment that her family isn't poor.
I'd move heaven and earth to find my kid and the fact that she's pretty and white wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Oh please now from the USA people are "sure" two people on Aruba knew each other and are involved in a murder conspiracy. This is indeed why we have laws, juries, judges and trials to avoid people being imprisoned for what every armchair observer is "sure" of.
This case is popular because of the exotic landscape and all the beautiful young men and women involved. It's pure escapism.
I remember Bill O'Reilley complaining that every time he ignored the Natallee Hollway case, his ratings went way down. He said he had little choice but to cover it.
I remember two Black men were jailed and released. The case exposes racism on Juran's part. Why would he do that.
Why would this kid kill Natalee? Now it's understandable why there's NO video of Natalee coming back to the hotel. His Dad fixed that....anyway it sounds like that could be.
If they all know each other and are all in this together somehow, what surprises me is that nobody has snitched on anyone. These are not stellar characters. You would think that someone in all this would be telling all so as to save his own neck.

I never understood why they have not made a stink about those poor innocent black guys that were initially hauled off to jail while the real perps were out scot free.
My line of thinking is very similar to yours. All of these thugs have done a great job of not implicating themselves/each other to the highly inept Aruban authorities.
However, I feel as if the other shoe has dropped(sorry for the cliche)and for the first time I believe that someone will talk soon.
I would really like for this to come to a close so they stop covering the story so much.
There must be hundreds of missing persons whose parents need at least a few precious minutes of national exposure and attention.
Why so much dedicated time to this one case?
Why not highlight some other cases and help other families?
Who makes the decisions about which family gets all this media attention.
I don't see why FR does not start the natalee news channel.
With the revenue, we could end freepathons.
