I didn't see it as a bash - Meadow looked like a total horse's ass throughout the episode.
Well I suppose that memebers of the MOB wouldnt be likely Republican voters. So its prob true to life lol
Wasn't much impressed with Sunday's episode.
Meadow gratuated Dean's List from a liberal college, what does one expect?
If you go back to 2004, Edie Falco did radio ads for something called "Mothers Opposing Bush", or "The MOB". Which went positively nonwhere.
Looking forward to nect week's episode where Benny (Max Cassella: Vinnie DelPino from Steven Bochco's old "Doogie Houser, MD") beats up on Tony.
I've a feeling Benny isn't going to be around much longer.
Jack.
The Dummies don't live in NJ. There are over three dozen Democrats in NJ under investigation for mob ties currently. A untold number of Democrats are mobbed up. The Dem leaning media is mobbed up. Every major Dem politician in the state is mobbed up. Every major environmental organization is mobbed up. Almost every union is mobbed up. Not much to brag about. The goodfellas are major stakeholders in the Democrat party in several counties and the state Dem party. Dems won't even deny the goodfellas are part of the Dem machinery, they send out boilerplate denials of the persons' connections to organized crime. Even when the person has served time for mob related felonies.
Meadows rant was perfect, the vast vast majority of poor little rich girls in North Jersey hold the exact same views.
I think the last two episodes will be known as when the Sopranos jumped the shark. Gay mafioso brings a new meaning to the kiss of death. Don's daughter being allowed access to case files without anyone wondering if she was trying to 'fix' cases. Paulie's mom not being his mom. I think the scripts were pasted together from rejected ideas from the previous seasons.
Corruption, murder, extortion, law breaking, yup, sounds like a good Democrat to me.
Here's a couple of "political" Sopranos - the only ones I know about. God bless them.
Scroll down just a little way for the pics:

What an oddball episode! Tony asks if the Muslim guys Christopher knows "could be al-qaeda?" and Christopher doesn't think so, because they have dogs. He thinks they're springer spaniels.
I guess they don't have anymore ideas, so the writers are putting in Homo advocacy, and anti-bush jabs anywhere they can.

Personally, I like seeing a bunch of Mafia hoodlums being on the Democrat Party's side. It's almost fitting.
The show also takes place in NY/NJ, right? Hardly a conservative area. What did you expect?
Meadow is a young woman in this series, and typically, young college age men and women tend to lean towards the left. She also works at a firm that represents poor minorities. We all take these shows as political rants, but truly, it is life like. A young woman in college who rants about Bush? Wow, that's new. We all need to stop thinking in terms of politics and realize conservatism comes with age. I am only 21, but I grew up in a strong family and I have served my country. I know how precious freedom is. But that is beside the point. Please relaize this is actually how real life is. College kids love to argue politics and sadly, a lot of them are liberals.
*I think I try to convince myself of this so I could sit through Claires rants on Six Feet Under.
Isn't it possible that political bias being discussed has always been there, but is only being recognized now?
Personally, I see your point but only saw some of the examples you cite as a reflection of the attitudes of society in general.
More interesting are the parallels that can be drawn between the way organized crime operates, and the way our government operates........................
