A 19-year-old quarterback of the Utah State University football team was arrested Thursday and booked into the Cache County Jail on a first-degree felony charge of rape.

Jerod Walker turned himself in to campus police officials Thursday after being notified that charges were going to be filed, continuing what University Police Lt. Steve Milne said has been continued cooperation from Walker as the investigation progressed.

“The charges follow an investigation by our office after a 20-year-old USU student reported that Walker had raped her in his on-campus residence,” Milne said. “We collected statements from the witnesses and other evidence was collected, then that information was presented to the county attorney.”

In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton, who was a law student at the college. No charges were filed, but retired campus policemen contacted by Capitol Hill Blue confirmed the incident. The woman, tracked down by Capitol Hill Blue last week, confirmed the incident, but declined to discuss it further;

Interesting as the quarterback of a Georgia high school in a town I used to live in, got a scholarship to one of the Western state small colleges. He also was charged with rape. He got off with s slap on the wrist but did get expelled.

He had a similar sounding name to that guy.

Given the results of the Duke Lacrosse team rape investigation I'm going to withhold judgement until something more substantial than an allegation turns up.

I'm sorry for the school and the community. I have warm spots in my heart for both. I do hate it, though, when girls go to athletes' bedrooms and act surprised when they get "done".

You hit the nail on the head. What did she think would happen? This is not a child, she's should have known she was playing with fire.

I'm a woman, and it was something I understood from about the age of 14. You don't go to someone's bedroom, hotel room, dorm or treehouse unattended if you don't want "something" to happen. Stupid is as stupid does.

Ah.....springtime in Zion. I always spent Easter in Zion's National Park. That was back in the day when you could still take a swim in the Emerald Pool....with chaperons of course. Never go skinny dipping without a chaperon. ;-)
