We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good evening!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Interest rates have been slowly rising; Treasuries have hit a four-year high.

A grand jury is looking into whether Barry Bonds lied under oath three years ago regarding steroid use.

Former DemoncRAT Senator Mike Gravel is set to announce his candidacy for President--the earliest such declaration in the campaign season.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good afternoon. I am HOT...I was out weeding. Hail damage on a lot of plants is pretty bad. Some lilies won't be up this year, and most of my bulb plants (hyacinth, tulip) are done for the season. My granddaughter and I cut some flowers that weren't too smashed and made a couple of bouquets, one for her to take home. We filled in with branches of flowering cherry, vibernum, and crab apple.

The rest of her family is at a soccer match about 30 miles away. She is quite happy to be here in the AC! (Yes, we turned it on...just too damp in the house and Mr. Marple has a low tolerance for heat and humidity.)

Thanks for your note. My garden looks a little raggedy, but most of the plants will recover. At least we don't have a hole in our roof or anything like that!

Bringing home a bouquet of flowers from grandmother's house is a special treat for your granddaughter.

I broke down and turned on the AC too. I had the fans going prior to this, but I need to be COOLer.

This yardwork and the exercise I'm getting are like knockout drops! I actually got 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night....will probably have to turn in my Dawn Patrol badge if I continue this regimen.

Hang up your phone. I've been trying to get through, and it's off the hook...

Hello

Windy here today. Two rain clouds have missed us, one went North, the other went South. Looking at the Regional Weather map, it will be nothing short of a miracle if that stuff on the KS/NE/IA border misses us.

I got lots of plants moved today. But there is certainly more to do.

Some sort of a critter is eating my Phlox off in the same bed where they ate the Endless Summer Hydranga last year.

Uh oh!! That critter is in big trouble.

I have been cleaning for the past few days.

Tomorrow I head outside. My luck it will rain.

Thanks for that powerful story. I took the liberty of posting it on the Pray for President Bush thread today.

I'm glad you posted that Peach. It reminded me of a top of the hour blip that ABC news had on the radio last Thursday.

If I remember correctly, it was about this, Global warming debated.

William Gray of Colorado State, who with his young colleague Philip Klotzbach issues perhaps the most famous seasonal forecast (17 named storms this year, they say), reiterated Friday his view that not only is the cycle business as usual, but so is the warming trend.

"This is natural stuff," he said. "We shouldn't try to blame humans for all of this."

Dr. Gray's (Meteorologist William Gray may be the world’s most famous hurricane expert.) EXTENDED RANGE FORECAST OF ATLANTIC SEASONAL HURRICANE ACTIVITY AND U.S. LANDFALL STRIKE PROBABILITY FOR 2006

Well, I'm glad ABC at least interviewed someone with an ounce of common sense for once. That probably only happens once every 20 years.

We watched a Discovery channel show about 2 weeks ago that made it pretty clear that for 20-30 year cycles, the earth goes through warming and cooling cycles and it completely demolished the global warming theory.

I've thought for years that the whole global warming thing was two things for the left: a) a way to demonize the right which typically cares more about business than environmental issues and; b) a way to redistribute the wealth since it's clear the US would be the primary target to pay other countries for the "damage" we do to the global environment. It's all such hogwash.

Actually, it wasn't an interview it was a mere mention of Dr.Gray, as if he was the wacko. That's why I did a little research.
