Two pedestrians were injured when they were struck by a teenage driver who had dropped her cell phone, St. Cloud police said.

Police said the 17-year-old girl was searching for the phone when her car drifted out of the driving lane and struck two women Thursday evening.

One of the pedestrians suffered a broken leg. The other had a bruised shoulder. Both were taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

The driver was cited for inattentive driving and released to her parents.

talking on the phone is always more important than noticing who you're running over. I read somewhere the most dangerous time to ride motorcyle is 3-7 pm on a Friday since it's when the kiddies are texting their moves for the night and weekend.

Go ahead!

Talk it up!

Even a really good looking woman like Katherine Zeta can get really tiresome.

Cars are great big things. You would think pedestrians would see them coming and get out of the way.

At least she didn't drop a joint and hit the pedestrians.

That reminds me of the old joke, "If you don't like my driving, stay off the sidewalk."

Talking on cell phone as you are driving a car is illegal in NYS. You know what is lacking? Enforcement, enforcement, enforcement! ( I stutter.)

Seems hard to belief in our county, for the fine is $100. Worth having several more policemen.
