What does this mean?
When my AVG did a quick scan, a warning came up saying that the Windows system32 Shell32.dll size had changed.
Is this of major significance?
I believe it means to post your question on a computer help site. Yes, that's it...
While I use, and recomend, AVG and have had no problems with the the software, I don't know the answer to your question.
However I did a Google search and perhaps this page will answer your question...

Hope this helps you...
Could be. Have you run spybot S&D, and lavasoft ad-aware???
Grow up..
Did Windows update before this happened?
yes have run adaware--i do this several times a day as the kids use the computer.
windows did the critical updates yesterday so it happened afterwards.
"windows did the critical updates yesterday so it happened afterwards."
That's probably what's behind this, and not a cause for alarm... just to be sure, you could try one or another online scans--

Unless they've changed them, you will need to use IE to use them. They are highly recommended by the anti-malware forums I belong to.
We have been having problems with Norton, and our computer guy recommended AVG. I don’t know anything about it; can anyone offer their opinion about this type of software?
I haven’t had problems since that time, and AVG is very easy to use.
