I thought last night that he said that he was half Honduran and half Mexican?

this may need a new thread, but I just saw this linked from Michelle Malkin

NRO

I'm not sure if it's been reported yet, but for what it's worth, I just got off the phone with a Comedy Central spokesman. I asked him about last night's episode of South Park in which, at a moment right before the prophet Mohammed was supposed to make a cameo, the words, "Comedy Central has refused to broadcast an image of Mohammed on their network" appeared on the screen.

I asked him whether this truly was Comedy Central's decision or whether this was just another gag (with South Park, you never know). He said:

They reflected it accurately. That was a Comedy Central decision.

Aha, so they did puss out! I wonder if the uncensored episode will be included when the season is released on DVD.

Comedy Central walked right into that one and completely helped them make their point. I bet they were banking on CC pussing out.

Most important, the joke wouldn't have worked if they ~hadn't~ pussed out.

I'm not going to go out on a limb proclaiming anything released thus far is the true, full story... They probably all took a class or two in 'marketing in the scandal age' :~D

At least Comedy Central is consistent in caving in. I think I'm going to complain about that Mencia dude and what he says about white people. It's suing time!

It's a trend. Everyone is pussing out these days. It appears to be fashionable.

Why am I not surprised that CC was the one who wimped out?

You have got to be FReepin' kidding me! I saw it and was convinced that Matt and Troy were doing a double-dig in that scene, teasing Comedy Central as well as everyone else. That silly blackout really was a Comedy Central decision? Unbelievable.

It does add punch to the last scene, though. I didn't think I could become angrier over this issue but that one managed it.

furthermore, he was in the Super Best Friends episode

How long has it been since that episode's been re-run? Any bets on whether they'll ever re-run it?

This was my maiden episode. For a long time my husband tried to get me to watch South Park. I stuck up my nose and refused, hating it without ever seeing it.

I finally gave in and watch South Park. The episode "Super Best Friends". At the time it was not "controversial". I never laughed so hard in my entire life. When Jesus radios the Super Best Friends and asks how to destroy a 20 foot statue of Lincoln, Mohammad responds "maybe a 20 foot statue of John Wilkes Boothe"

I giggled into the next day. I am hooked forever - and I'm a Catholic ginger!

Yeah, I'm surprised to hear this, only because the whole point and message of the episode seemed dependent on not showing Mohammed at the end. Interesting.
