That's all we need, a Moses full of doubts and Angst.
"I had three different religious advisers, a Muslim, a Christian and a rabbi, going through every word of the script."
What, no atheist adviser? And how about a Darwinist?
Jesus was full of doubts and angst, especially on the eve of His Crucifixion.
Certainly Moses was as well. That's what makes the Faith of both so admirable and real.
Are you saying he didn't have doubt? It was quite clear when he spoke with God at the burning bush he not only had doubts, he flat out didn't want to go. Matter of fact, Moses argued with God for a chapter and a half about going (Exodus 3-4) in the first place. I'm pretty sure he didn't just drop that doubt at that moment for it never to arise again.
I think he was full of doubt and angst. Didn't he nag God a bit, trying to get out of the role that God has planned for him? "I'm not a leader, I speak with a stutter, I'm short & homely, I walk with a limp, who the heck is going to follow me?"
