Talk about nightmare. Just found this out. My wife just came home from work.. she works for Tyson Foods. Well, seems she is required to show up early for work monday morning, so that she can attend a luncheon that Tysons is having to express their gratitude to the Mexicans and all they have done for us... this is scheduled to happen right before they walk off the job for their little protest that the illegals are having. Failure to show up and show proper respect and gratitude to the illegals who are keeping her wages depressed will result in her being "pointed" (they use a point system for absenses and such) and points will also result in loss of bonus money.

WHAT A LOAD OF CR*P!

Someone pinch me. What country do I live in?

Well atleast those illegals are helping Tyson Foods to keep wages low and doing the jobs no Americans want to do. I own TSN stock and the less your wife and her fellow employees get in income, the more money I make. Scr*w Fordism, that was a stupid idea. The most important thing is to maximize profits in the hands of multinational corporations. Open borders and continual amnesty is vital in making sure that happens.

And if you disagree with all this, you will make less than employees who toe the line with the interests of the elites.

Why don't you and your wife start your own food manufacturing company and stop demanding a decent wage. What are you a socialist?

(Typical knee-jerk response)

Well, I would do like Don Tyson, Red Hudson, and Don O'Brien did to get a start if I were unscrupulous enough (I know all three, 2 of them quite well, btw). They were originally chicken haulers, and when they arrived at a processing plant and had some chickens on the truck that were rejected because they were DOA, they took them back to their own little plant, processed thenm, and sold them to the locals. Really nice neighbors, those guys are. Ole Don Tyson NEEDS to squeeze every penny of profit... he is probably planning on re-pave his marble driveway.

I know the type. I have one of those neighbors, but more extreme. He is a sucessful business owner, but does not keep up his property because it cost money to mow your lawn every week, paint your house, clean the brush all over your yard. His yard looks like West Virginia, no offense to the Mountaineers.

Does the following sound familiar?

This is a class action brought on behalf of all persons legally authorized to be employed in the United States (“U.S.”) who have been employed by defendant Tyson Foods, Inc. (Tyson), reportedly the world’s largest processor and marketer of poultry, as hourly wage earners at 15 of its facilities throughout the U.S. during the last four years.

2. The Complaint contends that all such persons have been victimized by a scheme perpetrated by Tyson to depress the wages paid to its employees by knowingly hiring a workforce substantially comprised of undocumented illegal immigrants for the express purpose of depressing wages (hereafter “the Illegal Immigrant Hiring Scheme”).

3. Tyson perpetrates the Illegal Immigrant Hiring Scheme through a complex and highly disciplined network of recruiters and temporary employment agencies, which obtain illegal immigrants, and perform additional services to facilitate their illegal employment by Tyson including transporting them to the U.S., obtaining housing in the U.S., and manufacturing and/or falsifying identification documents.

4. While the work at Tyson plants is grueling and extremely dangerous, the company avoids paying market wages to its employees as a result of the successful perpetration of the Illegal Immigrant Hiring Scheme.

etc, etc, etc

Yeah, sadly I am all too familiar with the activities of those chicken thieves.

Our population has more than doubled in the last 5 years, and our property taxes just went WAY up (took them like 6 tries to get that pushed thru, but they were well organized this yr) so that we can build new schools throughout the county. The ONLY reason we need these new schools is due to the rapid influx of immigrants, the VAST majority of which are illegal.

I have watched our weekly sheriffs report in our county paper go from 3 4-inch columns to 2/3 a page (I kid you NOT), and the VAST majority of those names are Gonzales, or Hernadez, or some such.

About 10 years ago, we spent several million bucks on a new jail complex. The old jail housed about 30 men, but we built the new one to be able to house around 100. The old jail never did have any crowding issues, because we had a pretty low crime rate, but it was falling apart. We built the new one much larger because we wanted a jail that we would not have to do anything with for the next 25 years. Now, just 8 yrs later, that jail is over-crowded, and we are being asked to fork over MORE money for bigger jails.

Bella Vista Ark used to provide a pretty decent living for a large portion of my county (which is just across the state line in Missouri). In this county, most everyone either worked in chicken plants, in construction trades in n/w arkansas, or are a Wal-martian at HQ in Bentonville(been there done that).

I drive thru Bella Vista Ark. everyday. Bella Vista is still growing like mad, in fact all of N/W Arkansas is.. but the only way most locals can get a job is if you are willing to work for cheap. I know professional sheetrockers who have to bid so low, they make out at about $8.50 an hour, or framers making the same. If they are not willing to work that cheap, they do not get the jobs. In the last couple years I have noticed that very few of the men I see on construction sites are able to speak English. I have seen many local contractors driven out of business by those who are willing to hire illegals. I know lots of these men, they are good, hardworking men who want to work. But they cannot survive and take care of a family on those wages. Illegals are not doing jobs Americans will not do.. they are doing jobs we will not do at slave wages. Actually many of us DO work at it at slave wages, simply because we have no other choice.

Another good job that lots of the locals used to fight to get was working at Wal-Mart warehouses in Bentonville. Now, those jobs pay no better than the construction trades do, and about half of those workers do not speak English either.

The Chicken plants.. the same story. In fact, my wife has, as I said earlier, worked for Tysons for over 10 years. She has been crossed trained in every department their facility has. Her performance reviews are always OUTSTANDING, I have seen them. She is still in an entry level position. She was feeling down about her job one day, and I tried cheering her up about it by pointing out how with her record and such, she was a sure thing to move up into a crew foreman position soon. It used to be that a record such as hers would result in moving up at Tysons. But unless my wife speaks spanish, which is their new policy, you cannot be promoted. She, and her boss, and her boss's boss as a matter of fact, are as high up as they will EVER be able to go.

Some may say "Hey, the growth of n/w arkansas has created lots of new jobs that those displaced American workers can go to hasn't it?". Yeah, it has.. lots of Burger Kings, convenience stores, lots of movie theatres, lots of jobs working as a stockboy at the new Wal-mart store... all for near minimum wage.

The result is that the median household income in this county is $21,000.. roughly half the national average.

Wake me up when the nightmare is over? Screw that. Pull the planet over and let me get off right here. I am sick of it.

Wow. Bookmarking for later reference.

I am really sorry. I empathize with you.

It is really an injustice. Sadly, our nation is being pushed further and further into dependence. Many of these companies do not provide health insurance, they rely on the government to provide it. They don't pay enough for the father to work and the mother to raise the children. They force both parents to work, while at the same time making children unaffordable.

Many people respond this injustice with their own injustice to make ends meet at the expense of society. Unions came about because of injustice, but their idiotic demands when their own industry or company is on the brink of bankruptcy compounds the injustice. Unions is one tiny example.

And how will we pay for the social security multi-trillion dollar gap? How will we pay for the new Medicare drug program? By paying most Americans hardly anything for long work hours and expect their tax revenue to pay for all these unfunded entitlement programs in the future?

Deficit spending on the part of the government and deficit spending on the part of the consumer is keeping our economy going. I am thinking "1920s" for some reason, what happened in the 1920s?

What used to happen not too long ago was the employers paid their workers a decent wage, workers saved money and they spent much of it, helping fuel the economy. Now employers try their best to hoard as much money as possible.

Out nation's debt is now what 8 trillion? Over 350 billion of our tax money is spent to pay the interest on the debt every year.

Interest Expense on the Debt Outstanding

I would like to get back to the day when all Americans worked, could provide a living for themselves, and did not rely on the government for entitlement programs.

Note to Bush, your number of American home ownership is a bit inaccurate. To own a home you must own it, meaning you paid for it - no mortgage.

The nightmare is not over, but there is hope.

Just sent that cartoon to the white house too.

You know, I just had a obvious thought, cartoons are allot easier to send to politicians with a comment than writing a letter.

The problem is that all the Representative and senators mail is from their web sites and it's not possible to copy pictures onto the mail form.

Does anyone know where I can find the direct email addresses for the Representatives and senators; not the web base email, but an address I can use with my normal mail program??? Maybe we can flood them with cartoons?

Speaking of education, as a former teacher who was injured in the classroom by one of the compadres they want to shove down our throats, did you know that public schools are offering courses to teach Latinos literacy in their own language?

Yes, many of these immigrant Latino sutdents are fluent in the spoken language, but are NOT LITERATE in their native written language.

How do you like American taxpapers paying to teach them literacy in SPANISH?
