Modesto, Calif. -- Scott Peterson's mother is seeking $35,000 from Laci Peterson's estate for mortgage payments and other costs she paid to maintain the couple's home after her son was arrested for killing his pregnant wife.
Jackie Peterson filed court papers March 27 asking to be reimbursed for mortgage payments, property taxes, utility bills and home repairs she said she made on Scott and Laci Peterson's house between April 2003 and February 2005.

Well, this thread's all teed up for commentary.

*sigh* Hold on, let me look up Cali's community property laws...
Nomally I would say, "LOL! She's a nut!" but this IS California. She may just get paid.
Ping.
You go Jackie! Sue Lacy's family. We know your baby was set up! /sarcasm
Take it from the lawyers.
Can't Scott pay her back himself? I bet he gets 10 cents a piece for making license plates. He's got plenty of time to make up $35,000. As we all know, it'll be many years before he's fried for his crimes.
Why dont' they just take it from the $250k they are offering to anyone who finds he "real" killer??
Scott Peterson ping!
Take it from her reward fund. That money's not going anywhere.
ping
Her actions only confirm that family is screwed up mentally.
And they continue to air it for all to see..
Home repairs!
I hope the Judge reads her the riot act.
Laci nerverentered into any agreement to repay Jackie for mortgage payments, and Jackie most certainly wasn't an heir of the estate.
Jackie made those payments to protect her son's interests, not Laci's as it was already known she was dead.
If you click ont the article and read on, you will see that the Petersons already received part of the proceeds of the sale of the home. That in itsself is a horrible injustice
Yea, I'd tell what she could do about that money
She has some nerve.
I think she has a case, if she made the payments.
Just imagine for a moment...the contorted and twisted mind that can even THINK this is a good plan..
