Video: Penn & Teller Debunk 9-11 Conspiracy Wackos
Lucky Dawg News ^ | Penn & Teller

Posted on 04/04/2006 7:04:50 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

This is a FUnnie VIDEO but it has a serious purpose. It shows just what a bunch of complete WHACKOS the 9-11 conspiracty theorists are. WARNING: Some folks here might be offended by the strong (but appropriate) language.

Many of these "experts" are cited by the MSM in other areas when in fact they are just nutcases as you can see here. Kudos to Penn & Teller for EXPOSING these NUTCASES. These whacko theories are accepted as FACT in DUmmieland.

This video runs just over 9 minutes and it is worth watching ALL of it. My favorite part was when one of the self-styled "experts" put on a Chickenhawk Helmet and clucked like the mental case that he is.

I'm confused.

When Penn & Teller did a "BullS***" show debunking Mother Theresa and the Dalai Lama, I was told that they were just Christian haters and fools (which wasn't much of a stretch to believe, honestly)

Now I'm supposed to believe them here?

Just wondering what's the "BullS***" - them or the 'facts' they debunk?

I checked on the nutcase in the ChickenHawk Helmet, Jimmy Walter, and apparently he fled the country. It looks like he wasn't please that he was exposed as a NUTCASE by Penn & Teller.

I don't know about the other stuff, but this debunking of the 9-11 conspiracy theorists was HILARIOIUS.

I guess it means they don't fit in a nice tidy box. They debunk stuff they don't believe. Sometimes you'll agree, sometimes you won't.

I never saw the bit on Mother Theresa so I can't comment on what it was about. But the shows I have seen on P&T are usually spot on logic. They debunk stuff in a rather politically incorrect fashion with the obvious and use facts to set the issue straight. I have for the most part always given them a thumbs up.

As I said, however, I have never see the Mother Theresa bit. I do not see how anything about Mother Theresa would fit the profile of their show.

I saw P&T in Vegas a few years ago. Penn was a foul mouth ass hole. The show was good but would have been better if Penn had kept his atheist opinions to himself.

What I really hate is when you try to download a streaming video (say, a trailer on the imdb or VideoDetective), and you wait all this time, and all you get is an ad from their sponsor >:-(

I'm still laughing about the Jimmy Walter segment of that video. At the beginning of his appearance, he tried to keep up the pretense of being an "expert" with a calm demeanor to go with his coat and tie. However, Walter could not keep his wackiness from bubbling to the surface with weird mannerisms toward the end of the segment in his office. Then when Walter appeared outside with his sports car, he let down his guard entirely by putting on a ChickenHawk helmet and then squawking like a chicken while his eyes were bugging out of his head. I mean that was HILARIOUS!!!

Okay, one error I made in reporting the Jimmy Walter ChickHawk segment. His eyes weren't bugging out of his head. Instead, he was flapping his arms like a maniac. Like Penn said: "Sometimes you SHOULD judge a book by its cover."

Why all the sewer language?

...if they referred to people as frauds or liars, they could be sued for slander, even in the face of overwhelming evidence of chicanery, but as "vulgar abuse" is not legally considered slanderous, referring to them as a**holes or f***ers ostensibly expresses an opinion rather than a statement of fact and is legally safer for them.

I think their show, like Southpark (Penn & Teller are close friends of Parker and Stone btw), is great as entertainment - I enjoy poking fun at the absurd. I try to catch, online, whatever bits of both shows I can.

Agreed re: P&T using spot-on logic to debunk. I've seen just about all their shows (except this 9/11 one!). They did a good job of debunking the heroine/Saint status of Mother Theresa and also showed how the people of Tibet are better off WITHOUT the Dalai Lama in power.

Whether or not I agree is immaterial to the fact that their debunkings are usually done intelligently.

Oh well - I'll catch this 9/11 show eventually and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Funny and sad. Next thing you know John Wilkes Booth will have had a direct relation to George Bush...AND flew airplanes for a hobby...AND worked for the CIA . Nevermind planes and the CIA didn't exist, it was all Bush and his secret time machine so he could become President and( whoa, danged good coffee this AM)...LOL
