Notice all Noah's blocks stayed in play. Bill Russell would have liked that.

Having George Mitchell investigate steroid use in baseball will yield the same results as having my fat cat clean out her own litter box.

Don't worry, we avenged your '72 loss to the UCLA in the finals on behalf of the entire State of Florida.

If you folks had someone other than your returning QB running Meyer's (sp) offense you maybe would have a shot at the football championship too. He doesn't seem to have bought into an option game that he didn't sign up for when he came to UF.

UCLA got their butt's kicked.

You can say that again. UCLA, here's a tip - offense is a good thing and not too many like to cheer we're number 2.

Congrat's to Florida and I am very glad I didn't bet on the game.

The only thing worse than an east coast fan who's team has lost is one who's team has won.

The alumni is organizing and petitioning. In order to compete, FSU should not worry about losing recognition as the Harvard of the south and divert more resources into the basketball program.

I don't know what they are trying to prove with the symbolism (investigation/Mitchell). Do they want to out the two or three players who don't juice?

Tiger is looking more like Bonds everyday...his jaw size has doubled over the last few years. Looks like there are a coule of new juicers on tour this year to join him though.

Congrats dfw, your team did real good! And I like that Noah kid, I see some folks here arent' too keen on him, but he caught my eye early on in this March Madness thing (which, if GMU hadn't had their run I probably wouldn't have paid any attention to), he was the man of the Month and did well. Seems to be a nice guy too, and I hope I don't get a dozen posts telling me he's really a creep.

Good Job Florida, a well deserved victory!

(and, as hubby pointed out, at least GMU lost to the winner, and by less points than UCLA lost to them!)

Boy did those Gators take a chomp out of my Baby Bruins. Grabbed them by the neck and never let go. I give all the credit to Coach Donovan. Having been there before, he knew just what needed to be done to prepare them for preforming on the ultimate stage. UCLA looked jittery, and never got over the stage fright until late in the game. Congratulations Coach Donovan, and those hungry Gators.

Yep, we're just passing time with Leak until Tebow takes the reins.

Pains me to say it , but the Gators did Florida proud. Never seen a team win with such ruthlessness from outside the paint. Now as for football.... GO NOLES!

LOL @Fordham sports.

The only thing my father recalls about his alma mater in terms of intramural athletics is a stunt pulled by their rival Manhattan, involving a prankish group that stole their mascot and spraypainted its horns green.

Well, at least you can lay claim to Charlie Ward.

I never thought I'd see the day when Knicks fans would long for the stewardship of Charlie Ward, but there ya go.

:0)

Ditto. I'm a Knight by degree, a Hurricane by marriage, and a Bull by location... but I have to say the Gators did Florida proud. Go Gators! (Enjoy it . . . you won't hear that from me again for a long while.)
