Well, it's no big deal to most people, but I'd like to hear how the rest of you feel about baseball on Opening Day... |
I would love to see opposing managers intentionaly walk Barry Bonds every time he comes up to bat!! Too bad it will never happen, and that is why I will only watch our AA team this season.
The Reds could use a pitcher like Bush; he wouldn't have given up 5 runs in the first inning.
That's a keeper! He threw the perfect conservative pitch: high and wide (to the right)! It's a thrill to see him enjoying the game.
:)
Is there hope in the Emerald City? The M's took the Angels into the 9th inning 3 to 3? And Jamie pitched a strong 7 1/2 innings?

there's always hope.
Opening day in Pittsburgh lately signifies when the Pirates are mathimatically eliminated from the playoffs....It's ok though, we're still busy looking at the Vince Lombardi trophy.

So, how did everyone do? :')
Actually, my two ten dollar bets placed on March 4 for the Angels to win the Pennant and Series were burned long ago.
LOL!
The best three game losing streak the Tigers had was against Kansas City, handing the division championship to the Twins, who were then eliminated. :') The magic man has been Jim Leyland; the pitching staff is the best for this team in 20 years (or more -- maybe the best since 1968); defense is great, hitting is great, all around great team.
And a series with the Cards is always great. Particularly this time, since they choked a few years ago during the Red Sox sweep. ;')
"Dewey Defeats Truman. The Cards in Five." ;')
