"Suicide is Painless" was composed (music and lyrics) by Mandel. "Theme From M*A*S*H" is Bacharach's instrumental arrangement. He would not publish it under the original title. I would doubt this article at any time, especially April first.
Actually I think the lyrics were written by Robert Altman's teenage son in the late 1960s!
Thanks, I'd assumed Mandel had done the lyrics. I should have checked before posting.
