I've had it!
I've watched Mexicans all over the Houston area and nationally waving Mexican flags.
I've seen Mexicans raise the Mexican flag at public schools.
I've seen Mexicans carrying signs stating "I'm Already Home!"
I've heard over and over again that Illegals are here because they will do jobs Americans will not.
I have had a Mexican lady cleaning my house twice a month and a Mexican lawn crew doing my lawn.
I make a check out to the Mexican lady by name and leave the lawn guys check blank.
I have never asked if they are illegal or asked them what their registered business name is for tax purposes.
Well! The time has come for me to mow my own lawn & clean my own house!
I cannot bitch about the Illegal problem and in good conscience keep hiring Mexicans I am almost certain are not in the US legally.
Associated Press
WICHITA, Kan. - Over the past 10 years, the number of federal cases statewide involving at least one person who is not a U.S. citizen has grown from 10 percent to 50 percent, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Not to mention all the welfare types.
I really want to deprive an illegal alien of a job but unfortunately, I do all the cooking, cleaning, and gardening myself while my husband handles the repair/renovation side of things.
I am going to stop eating Mexican food in restaurants but that's more because it's fattening and I'm bored with it.
We haven't had a housekeeper since I was a kid and she was a wonderful Black woman with 16 children. Guess who did the yardwork? ME!
Get a John Deere but they don't carry the better models at Home Depot.
I clean my own house and mow my own lawn.
I'm going to stop buying refried beans though.
Will that help?
Ummm....I had my sons do my lawn and help me clean the house...
When they went to college, I had the neighborhood kids help out.
But then, I lived in "normal" neighborhoods in Oklahoma where the work ethic was still alive, not in elite California suburbs where houses start at a quarter million dollars and up...
I'm a housewife, so that's basically my job description.(Though, my husband does help with the yard work).
I'd go with Home Depot for the lawn mower. That's where my husband picked ours up. Haven't had a problem with it.
Glad to see that people who do hire domestics are thinking about doing their own work though.
